Stoke Place

Stoke Place looks lovely when you arrive, set in beautiful grounds with a lovely reception room. The man on the desk was very friendly and gave us instructions to our "Garden Room". Unfortunately this is the only positive thing I can say about this place. At £150 a night I was expecting anything extravagant, but the least you can expect from any hotel room is for it to be clean. The room was very dirty, and looked like it hadn't been properly cleaned for quite some time. There was a pile of dust by the door, the floor had black engrained dirt, the walls were marked with tea bag (and goodness knows what else!) stains, and every surface was dusty. We didn't step foot in the bathroom as you would have needed your shoes to shower, it was just filthy. I wish I'd had taken photos, but honestly we just wanted to get out of there. I very politely handed the keys back to reception, who didn't really care and said there wasn't any option of a refund

Amazing hotel and the waiter was amazing I believe his name is Sylvester. Beautiful scenery and the food was absolutely amazing. I would definitely recommend this hotel as there is a wonderful lake as well, the food is great and the hotel qualify are amazing

The staff is very friendly and helpful, the rooms are clean and comfortable, it has an amazing lake and a big territory where you can go out, amazing views, delicious food. The service was fantastic by the chef Sylvester. The hotel is beautiful and there are flowers everywhere. It’s great for families and couples! Very cozy, peaceful and pleasant!!!

We have stayed several times and enjoyed it. Staff are friendly and helpful and the food is tasty. Special mention to Remato who looked after us in the restaurant. And Juliana Benetton who helped us. Small point, there's an issue with the plug in the wash hand basin that has been there since our previous stay. Thank you

We held a large family celebration lunch at Stoke Place last weekend and can highly recommend for special events and family gatherings. The team took fantastic care of us to ensure everything ran like clockwork prior to arrival and throughout our time with them, and were very attentive. Every member of staff we spoke to really seemed to care about us having a great time and took real pride in their roles. A special call out to Juliana and Joanna who really went above and beyond to ensure our gathering was memorable for all the right reasons. The food was delicious and the grounds of the hotel are so elegant and beautiful. After our meal we were able to wander around the grounds and make the most of the beautiful surroundings, capturing precious memories with some lovely family photos. We had a fabulous time - thank you so much for looking after us so well to all the team at Stoke Place!
