Anantara New York Palace Budapest Hotel

Had a wonderful experience at hotel everywhere we went . From the spa to the bars and also breakfast . In special to Z SOLT at the breakfast buffet was amazing .

Beautiful, luxurious hotel. Well appointed with excellent guest service. The incredible breakfast spread is not to be missed! Shout out to Janka and Timi for their excellent service.

This is not a 5 star hotel. The biggest problem is the New York Cafe , it is billed as the ‘The Most Beautiful Cafe in the World’ but as hotel residents dining in the hotel ‘area’ we were constantly distracted by a number of people coming up to our dining area to take pictures of the buildings interior and themselves. They were not asked to return to the cafe area by the staff. The staff told us it was mainly ‘influencers and Insta people and it just seemed to be accepted. What a disappointment when the next morning we received slow and surly service at breakfast. We waited 30 minutes for a breakfast order which came lukewarm. Such a disappointment. And again people taking pictures with no respect for us and no request was made for our permission to be in these photos. Whilst we were staying we thought we would try the New York Cafe ourselves. It is over priced and over rated. Food was average at best and once more full of the influencer generation ordering coffee and dessert, sitting nearby for over two hours, constantly taking pictures which was very rude. The Restaurant Manager understood our position apologised and said she didn’t like this either but apparently ‘it is the accepted way now’. Not helpful for us to hear. The hotel promised so much and gave very little. We will not return.

Food was great and Armin the server was a gracious host who answered every question, made spot on recommendations and made for an enjoyable evening!!

Beautiful hotel with excellent staff, our stay was absolutely outstanding. Great breakfast. Very helpful staff. Spa clean and accessible even without a reservation. Nothing to complain about.
