We stayed at Kempinski Hotel Corvinus Budapest from 18 to 20 July 2026, and unfortunately, this was one of the most disappointing hotel experiences we have had. A complimentary late checkout had been approved by one of the hotel’s employees, but this was apparently not communicated internally. At checkout, we were told that we had to pay for an additional hour. When we explained that late checkout had already been granted, Lila was rude and dismissive and did not appear to believe us. She only contacted her colleague to verify the arrangement after we repeatedly asked her to do so. Instead of apologising for the hotel’s internal communication failure, we were made to feel as though we were being dishonest about something that had genuinely been offered to us. I also asked Lila for an itemised receipt for our in-room dining charges. She appeared visibly annoyed and insisted that only a general receipt was available. Having previously worked in hospitality, I found it difficult to believe that a detailed breakdown could not be retrieved. Her attitude made us feel that our basic request was an inconvenience. The in-room dining service was also poor. When I called to ask about an item on the breakfast menu, the employee audibly sighed and responded impatiently. We were told that the side dishes would be included if selected on the breakfast card, but we were later charged separately for them. The explanation was unclear and misleading. The only positive part of our departure was a lady wearing spectacles and an outer coat, who may have been a manager. Unfortunately, we did not manage to get her name. She was calm, professional and helpful, and we sincerely appreciated her assistance. For a hotel carrying the Kempinski name and presenting itself as a five-star property, the lack of communication, dismissive service and unclear charges were unacceptable. We left feeling frustrated and deeply disappointed. Based on our experience, I would not recommend this hotel.

A wonderful hotel with an excellent location and exceptionally attentive staff. From the moment we arrived, we were welcomed by a highly professional team led by the manager, Timea. The Ladies in Red went above and beyond, making our stay truly memorable with beautiful birthday amenities. A few highlights that stood out: the bed was easily one of the most comfortable we have ever experienced, and the recently redesigned restaurant offers an upgraded breakfast that is excellent. We also stayed for lunch and dinner, both of which were simply perfect, also thanks to a well-trained and attentive service team. Lastly, Eszti from the Spa was fabulous, providing seamless pre-stay communication and arranging a lovely birthday treatment for my husband. We absolutely love this hotel and will definitely be back.

Stayed here for 3 nights.excellent position to lots of big attractions and shops.Public transport free to over 65's and there is a bus stop 5 min walk from hotel to get bus to airport.buses run every 6 mins and takes about 40min. Never paid a penny! Really liked hotel from check in which was efficient. Room was nice. Bedding, pillows, mattress were excellent quality .toiletries were Dipytique so no need to take your own. Excellent hair dryer too. Turndown service at night and good size bath towels were supplied. there is a Nobu on site and a lovely bar where you can have a drink outside, always served with nice nut selection. For a lovely rooftop bar go across the road to Aria Hotel. Really lovely. Kiosk and Mercatina were our 2 restaurants which were lovely and in walking distance. Loved Budapest. Lovely city
