Mystery Hotel Budapest

Great hotel in a decent location with good transport links. Rooms are clean and a good size. Staff are extremely friendly and helpful. Only slight criticisms are a) lighting in rooms is very dim; I understand it’s supposed to be atmospheric but perhaps there could be a dimmer switch so you can adjust it? b) we had breakfast on our first morning and were disappointed. At €26 per person, I would expect a little more variety. We went down an hour before the end of the session and found that the food and drink wasn’t being replenished. We had to ask a member of staff for plain croissants and juice to be replenished. When there is still an hour to go before you stop serving breakfast, I would expect there to still be a decent amount of food available. We also found small flies sitting on the cheeses and some of the pastries so it put us off having breakfast at the hotel for the remainder of our stay. Luckily there are many alternative places nearby. We didn’t use the spa facilities but it looked lovely. The bar had amazing hot chocolate which was welcome after a chilly day of sightseeing. Overall, we enjoyed our stay at the hotel and would definitely stay again.

Recently visited Budapest and had the pleasure of booking the hotel. The room was great and cleaned everyday perfectly. The facilities were amazing, fantastic setup with the sauna and steam room along with the option of a massage, which we took advantage of and were very glad we did. The staff were so friendly and helpful with everything, thanks to all of them, they made sure the trip was excellent. The hotel is also perfectly located for visiting all the sites by foot (15/20 minute walk from most) and great public transport links.

Lovely clean comfortable hotel with friendly, helpful staff. The hotel is well positioned to get to all of the attractions, either by walking or using local transport.

First class accommodation! My daughter and I had a three night stay and found it ideal for our needs. We walk everywhere (including a couple of pre breakfast runs) and found the location perfect for exploring both the Buda and Pest sides of the river. The room was spotless, the beds extremely comfortable and it was so quiet! The staff were all very friendly and helpful and the Spa was just large enough for our short stay. Breakfast was buffet style with a vast amount of choice, both hot and cold. I would have no hesitation in recommending the Mystery Hotel unreservedly to family and friends!

Love to stay for few more nights! It was a pre-cruise stay. Will for sure book again! Until next time.
