Mystery Hotel Budapest

The hotel was amazing! The rooms were great and the whole decor of the hotel was exceptional. Breakfast in the great hall as well as the food and options available being varied the room was grand. Staff were attentive and the buffet was always well replenished. The spa was a great addition and we did not ever find it too busy. They sky garden and drinks from from the rooftop had amazing views over the city. Location was great with the public transport system in budapest being outstanding and a bus directly into the centre from the road outside. Although close to the trains station we never really heard the trains from the hotel. Reception staff were very helpful and accommodating.

Small room, bath only separated by curtain. Poor service at breakfast. Dirty tables, missing cutlery and napkins. A member of staff is ticking people off a list at the entrance, but nobody seems to think it’s necessary to set a table or clear away dirty ones . Small spa good for 1hour.

We had a great stay at the Mystery Hotel, it was recommended by our daughter who had stayed here last year, and we could see why! The rooms and the rest of the hotel had a quirky and fun style, which made a refreshing change from the usual bland corporate hotels. The room was really good quality, and although the hotel is really close to the train station, we didn’t hear a thing from there at night. The hotel is slightly out of the city centre, but not far enough to mean you can’t walk to all the main sights in Buda (and Pest!). The spa is also a nice addition, as was the complimentary drink in the hotel’s rooftop bar, which has great views across the city skyline. Overall, highly recommended

This hotel is everything you want, amazing spa experience, beautiful spacious rooms, very close to all the main attractions, and most of all amazing and hardworking staff. Dominika was absolutely lovely and very helpful and very hospitable, would absolutely recommend this hotel to anyone.
