Mystery Hotel Budapest

What a beautiful building, the great hall was stunning to sit and have breakfast in, bedroom spacious and unique, the whole building spotlessly clean and the staff so friendly and nothing too much trouble.

The Mystery Hotel is a gem. The rooms, services, attention to detail were 5 star. We would return again and again. Definitely a great choice !

This hotel is a charming surprise in the middle of District VII. Location is perfect for walking to Parliament, Heroes Square, the Jewish quarter and shopping areas. The hotel is in a beautiful building; rooms are charming and whimsically decorated. The rooftop bar at sunset is a must. The service was excellent.

On arrival we were warmly greeted even though we were very early for the room! We were made to feel very welcome and our bags were whisked away to be looked after as if by magic! After we checked in, our bags were brought to our room by an exceptionally friendly and helpful gentleman who made absolutely sure all was to our satisfaction. The room is wonderfully appointed, plenty of sockets and seating areas. Wonderful large bed with the most comfortable, large pillows. The twin shower is superb, the bath robes and slippers a nice touch, complimentary water, toiletries and chocolates are welcome. Housekeeping top everything up and clean the room beautifully. Breakfast is superb, we challenge the fussiest eater not to find something they like. Wonderful surroundings and effortless service, nothing is too much trouble. The Sky Garden has amazing views across the city, impeccable service and welcome drinks are another nice touch. The lifts are eclectic as are the paintings. The paintings have a life of their own and reception with the flying carpet is wonderful. A highly recommended hotel in a great location with the most wonderful staff, we look forward to coming back.

We had a lovely stay at the Mystery Hotel, we were disappointed that the roof top bar/garden was shut on the evening of our stay, but we managed to spend some time up there before our departure the next afternoon, where I was super impressed that Meszaros Mate the barman went out of his way to make a specialist cocktail that was no longer on the menu (Shame it should never have been taken off) which made my day as well as Peter and his customer service on reception. We would most certainly return, we loved it !
