Reviews for CasaSur Bellini Hotel

We think you could do a lot better

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 3 days ago

On the positive side, the hotel is well located if you wish to be in Palermo, with the proviso that you really should insist on a room at the back, overlooking the pool, to avoid the excessive road noise at the front. The pool, by the way, is long enough for swimmers but it is a very concrete area with sunbeds but little shade and no parasols. The area is shared with the adjacent apartment block. There are changing rooms with lockers and showers but note that no products at all are supplied, not even soap at the sinks by the toilets. The rooms have been refurbished but with no eye for detail and far from the best workmanship. There are, for example, no power sockets near the bed nor above the desk - unless you want your phone plugged in next to the sink and the Nespresso machine, you will need to crawl on the floor, under the desk. The bedside light switches cannot be reached when in bed. Each room has a round “kitchen table” with a couple of chairs - and hanging low over the table is a large circumference lampshade made of substantial wooden slats. It is close to impossible to pick something up from the table without bashing your head on the wooden lampshade and we have the lumps and bruises to prove it. The bedroom doors do not fit properly. We had three rooms in our two stays here (three because one of the rooms had broken aircon and we had to move). They were all the same - the door gets stuck and needs such a hard push as to “make the room shake”. Additionally, we’d guess that the bedrooms previously had carpet (now hardwood or similar) as there is a deep gap under the door - and bright corridor lights all night. Even with working aircon, be aware that the units are very noisy - inside and out since there is a condenser on each balcony and second rate double glazing. Breakfasts were atrocious, the worst we experienced in South America. It does not help that the on-site restaurant is provided by a third party. Please see the photos of the “fruit”, the “bread’ and the so called “granola” which is actually cornflakes with a raisin or two and a couple of seeds and some sweetener. The other thing of which to beware is the Nespresso trap. There is a fridge (minibar) with cans of drink and in the corner of the counter above the fridge there is a tray with chocolate bars and snacks. On that tray is a price list. But well away from this towards the other side of the counter is a Nespresso machine with a small open tray of six capsules. No suggestion of any pricing for them and normally hotels supply these free when there is a Nespresso machine. Not here, it transpires ! At the foot of the price list on the chocolates tray, it has coffee capsule = US$3. Ouch. We never look at the minibar price list because we never take anything from the minibar. (There is a 24 hour Carrefour supermarket just around the corner) The hotel apparently supplies one bottle of water per person per evening but we found this out only on evening 6 of 6 when they were delivered to our room. The hotel was unable to explain why we had not had water on the other five evenings. The Reception staff and porters were all really pleasant and helpful with the sole exception of the Front Desk Manager whose attitude was quite the opposite.

Incredible Staff, Incredible Location, Incredible Hospitality

There probably isn't enough space to write all the great things about this place. From the day we got there, we were treated like family. Every single person at this resort, from the bell boys, to the front desk staff, to the waiters and waitresses in the restaurant, every single person was just incredible, sweet and very accommodating. The hotel is in an incredible location with many high end cafes, restaurants and shops just steps away. Being centrally located in Buenos Aires, all the main tourist attractions are just a short Uber or Taxi ride away. They have a very nice pool and gym in the rear as well. Thank you for making our annual trip to Buenos Aires a very comfortable and enjoyable one. See you next year. Gracias por todo!

Very peaceful rooms, good localization, centric. The zone around the hotel is clean and easy to move another points of city. Service’s guys are very nice and always helpful. The breakfast is good, includes some typical desserts of Argentina.
