I am absolutely delighted with my decision to stay at Casa Lucia during my visit to Buenos Aires. The atmosphere, service and location were nothing short of exceptional. While the room showed some signs of wear and tear, the overall comfort, aesthetic and warmth of the hotel and staff more than compensated for any imperfections. Upon a very early check-in and through the duration of my stay, I must say, Demian was always so welcoming and added a vibe to the hotels atmosphere. His impeccable work ethic, attentiveness and welcoming nature makes him an invaluable asset to the Casa Lucia team. Equally commendable was Luciana, whose extensive knowledge of the city and genuine willingness to assist made navigating Buenos Aires an absolute pleasure. The bar experience deserves special recognition as well. Grace, Nacho, and Juan were all exceptional mixologists, offering thoughtful recommendations while cultivating a warm and convivial atmosphere that made every visit to the bar a memorable one. Casa Lucia has left such a lasting impression that I am already considering a return visit during the summer months, eager to experience both the hotel and the city in a warmer season.

Casa Lucia was a ‘nice’ but not a completely ‘impressive’ start to BA for us. We spent one night there on arrival from Mendoza before then changing to a cruise line-imposed hotel before our cruise departure. Let’s just say that Casa Lucia knocked that other ‘cruise hotel’ out of the park, but related to the price we paid, we really can’t say we were wow-ed - and it was not at all as fulfilling as all our research had caused us to hope for. We were impressed by the spectacular entrance ‘hall’, both inside and from the street front, as well as the breakfast spread. It would be particularly good for a sweet tooth, if you want alfajores for breakfast!??!? The room itself though - well ???? No tissues in the bathroom…. No promised panoramic views… No sort of marketing/token ‘welcome treat’ in the room as you might expect, to make you feel that it was the ‘right decision’ to choose Casa Lucia and spend all those $$$…. An overcharge with the airport transfer that had to be disputed with email evidence so it could be corrected on the bill… Lots of visible scuffs in the room with scrappy paintwork and scratches around the wardrobe doors and bathroom fixtures…. ….so it goes on. The linen was a treat though. And a brilliant location.
