Reviews for Sofitel Buenos Aires Recoleta

Paris meets Buenos Aires

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 4 days ago

Paris meets Buenos Aires at the Sofitel Buenos Aires Recoleta. Parisian charm and Argentinian hospitality made for a memorable stay. The hotel arranged pick up from the airport, I was warmly welcomed by the manager and front desk clerk facilitated an early check in, which was greatly appreciated after my red eye flight from the U.S. With my ACCOR status, I got an upgraded room, early check in, and welcome amenities (four petite fours, sparkling and still water). The concierge booked dinner at a nearby Argentinian steakhouse and gave me a map and overview of the area. The hotel even helped me by covering my taxi fare when the driver would only take pesos, which I didn't have and was very angry. Love the location and the garden view from my room. I was able to walk to many of the attractions (Recoleta cemetery, national museum, bookstore) and lots of cafes and shops nearby (upscale mall across the street). The doormen made me feel like I owned the place. The attached coffee shop was an added plus!

Beautiful hotel, Excellent service

The Sofitel Recoleta is a beautiful hotel in a great location. My room was spacious with all the necessary furnishings. It had a queen size bed, a lounge chair with reading lamp, and a desk with chair and lamp. The entire hotel is sparkling clean and very quiet. I stayed here as a prequel to a cruise with the cost included but I believe it was an excellent choice with great value. The service was wonderful!! One of the front desk agents, Miguel, was especially helpful. He took care of every question or request I had - and always with a big smile. He helped me get the room temperature where I preferred it, get the room safe to work, convert The Argentine peso to US dollars, and to get my phone to bring up this App in English instead of Spanish. Beside all the other great things about this hotel, Miguel is the five star rating.

A new friend

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 4 days ago

When we arrived at our hotel we were quickly greeted by Jeremiah. He helped us with our bags and made certain we were comfortable through the check in experience. Every day of our stay Jeremiah continued to greet us and made us feel at home. Our stay in Buenos Aires was only a few days, but by the time of our departure we knew we had a good friend in Jeremiah. Our thanks to him for make our stay so wonderful.

Excellent choice for an inner city hotel.

A lovely attentive hotel with amazing staff. Ekaterina was our waiter and knew straight away the type of wine we were after. She was exceptional at her job, engaging, friendly while keeping professional. Note to management a person you should watch.
