La Monastica Resort & Spa

This resort was over the top. The staff was welcoming and attentive. The food was well done, and we specifically appreciated not having the traditional breakfast buffet (they did have smaller, complementary buffet, but the main breakfast was custom order). The views from the hotel were magical. The rooms were very nice. The AC worked very well, and that is not normal for European hotels. We would highly recommend.

This is a lovely hotel the staff are outstanding rooms comfortable beautifully maintained. We visited pre their season so daily yoga despite being advertised was only available Friday to Sunday slightly vague sauna/spa pool availability and not all eating options available. Fabulous location highly recommended. One gripe gratis drinking water offer at pool although small servings of gratis ice cream from the kitchen offered mid afternoon! Staff unfailingly friendly cheerful and obliging. Main restaurant delicious

We are spoiled travelers, but this hotel clearly exceeded our expectations. Spectacular setting, beautifully renovated and decorated, impeccable service and excellent amenities. We had dinner in the restaurant, which was excellent too. The spa deserves special mention. The only critic we had was the gym equipment, where aesthetics seemed to prevail over efficiency. All in all, it was a great experience and we highly recommend d this hotel.

I don’t think there are enough words to describe how fantastic La Monastica is. By far the best hospitality I’ve received at any hotel. Everyone we met was so personable and went out of their way to make sure our stay was perfect. A special should out to the reception team - Elena, Diane, Edoardo- who were always available to us for anything we needed. The food was excellent, with a lovely breakfast selection (both at the table and from the kitchen). Also, breakfast came with an unforgettable view of the Tuscan countryside. Who could complain??? (Seriously, how does anyone give this place less than 5 stars? The Devoti restaurant was a great place for dinner, and one of the best meals we had during our time in Italy. Finally, the room was absolutely perfect. I travelled with 2 of my best friend and we shared the Castellana suite - it was so very spacious, and so so comfortable. From the moment we were welcomed with lovely treats and welcome drinks to the moment we checked out, we felt truly cared for at La Monastica and got the luxury relaxation experience we were seeking. The room was super private as well, and we had a terrace with an incredible view. We didn’t have to worry at all about encountering too many people during our stay. For those concerned about the clock tower (Linda z), the ringing didn’t bother us one bit, and for light sleepers, they provide ear plugs. Really, if there’s anything you need, La Monastica will provide it. If I could give 10 stars, I would.

Absulotely wonderful hotel - impeccably renovated, such beautiful design and attention to detail. Faultless 5* service. Restaurant located in the old chapel was stunning and the food was absolutely delicious. Fabolous spa facilities - especially the bubbles in the rock". Would definitely recommend and plan to return soon!
