Would we return yes probably. Nice decor. Good public areas with a great vibe. Liked the DJ. There is a weird check in counter, tiny and stuck in the conver near lifts, an immediate let down.lWhen busy the lineup then blocks the lifts. Obvious design oversight. Rooms are good. No bath seemed a bit odd. Service ok but no one by the pool disappointing at this level of hotel. You have to find your own towels, use the QR code for food etc - all a bit of a let down in a 5 star. Restaurant food and decor very good . Location great and overall we had a nice stay. So we would recommend overall.

I’m currently dining at Haven and wanted to raise a genuine question regarding the pool safety arrangements. I noticed the sign at the entrance advising that parents must supervise children, which I completely understand. However, I also noticed that the information refers to a pool gate, but from the restaurant/poolside area I cannot identify where the gate or pool barrier is located. Could you please clarify where the pool barrier and gate are situated, and whether the pool operates under a compliant pool barrier or an approved Pool Safety Management Plan? I’m not making an allegation of non-compliance — I simply couldn’t see the barrier or gate and wanted to understand how access to the pool is controlled, particularly given the proximity of the pool to the restaurant and other public areas. It makes me sad to write this, I want to love this place. The vibe and the styling is completely on point. They've honoured the location too. But the service - oh dear. Topped off by staff entering occupied rooms without knocking.

After reading so many terrible reviews about the service here and also hearing from somebody who used to work here, we were a little apprehensive. And then we arrived - no lobby - just a big open area with an incredibly noisy restaurant and a tiny little check-in desk in the corner. However, the service was fantastic checking in. Camille was so lovely and in fact all the staff we encountered at the hotel were fantastic. There was a big conference going on which explained the noise, but we did manage to communicate by shouting over the desk. lol. We only had two nights there and Camille very kindly upgraded us. We had a view on the side of Burleigh heads to the beautiful Pacific Ocean. The beach is literally just across the road. Our suite on the eighth floor was absolutely gorgeous and we were so incredibly comfortable. The design was so well thought out and we had everything we could possibly need and more. It would’ve been so good if we had a longer stay to really enjoy it all. I spent quite a bit of time at the pool which is heated just enough to enjoy in cold weather, on the world’s most comfortable sun loungers. It was so convenient right next to the Haven restaurant and bar so I could enjoy cocktails. We went for pre-dinner drinks at Haven on the first night with friends also staying at the Mondrian. The bartender, Brian, looked after us very well. Haven is exactly my style of comfortable bar within a restaurant that I prefer to hang out in. So the following night while the rest of my party went off to Rick Shores for dinner which I knew would be way too spicy for me, I headed to Haven again. Brian made me a delicious cocktail that reminded me of a fave restaurant of mine in Vegas - a Hakkasan. I ended up ordering dinner from the restaurant menu and having it in the bar area, which was very comfortable. A special mention to Ricardo for his excellent service. He went above and beyond. We had to check out early the next day and our flight wasn’t until early evening, so we stowed our luggage with the concierge. Hubby had a day of meetings while I got to spend the day by the pool and then on the lounges in the undercover area nearby. I was able to get in another Hakkasan cocktail. There are bathroom and shower facilities nearby so I was able to change for my flight. I would just like to suggest that the hotel install a towel hook in the large ladies corner shower and a bottle of shower gel on the wall. This would be so helpful after checkout when using these facilities. All in all, we experienced great service here and we highly recommend this hotel.
