Casa Dorada Resort & Spa

My family and I have been staying at Casa Dorada for over five years, and in 2026 alone we’ve stayed in February, April, and now July, booking multiple rooms each visit. We continue choosing Casa Dorada because of its unbeatable location, beautiful views, and the incredible staff who have made us feel like family over the years. This is actually the first negative review I’ve ever written, and I’m only taking the time to write it because I genuinely hope upper management will take notice. We love this resort and want to continue making it our home away from home, but we’ve watched the condition of the property decline while the price of staying here continues to reflect a luxury resort.First, I want to recognize the employees who make Casa Dorada so special. Emilio, Carlos, and Gabino are simply exceptional. Every visit they go above and beyond for our family. They know us by name, welcome us back, and always make us feel valued. As parents, it’s incredibly reassuring knowing they keep an extra eye out for our children around the resort—not because it’s their responsibility, but because they genuinely care. They are one of the biggest reasons we’ve remained loyal guests for so many years. A huge thank you as well to Jesus at the late bar. Every evening he provided outstanding customer service, remembered our food and drink orders, and always greeted us with a smile.At the beach, Daniel and Jesus also deserve recognition. They constantly checked on us, made sure we never needed anything, and always went above and beyond to accommodate our family. Their service was outstanding from beginning to end. The staff at Casa Dorada deserves every bit of recognition they can get. Unfortunately, the facilities no longer reflect the level of service the employees provide. The biggest concern was the main pool. Every single member of our family ended up with cuts, scrapes, and abrasions on the bottoms of our feet from simply walking in the pool. I’ve attached photos because this wasn’t an isolated incident—it happened to all of us. By the end of our stay, walking had become painful. This isn’t normal wear and tear; it’s a guest safety issue that should be addressed immediately.The hot tub was another major disappointment. It has deteriorated to the point where we didn’t even feel comfortable getting in. The surface is extremely rough and worn, and honestly it needs to be resurfaced or renovated before it can safely be enjoyed again. We also experienced several housekeeping issues throughout our stay. We always leave tips because we truly appreciate the hard work of the housekeeping staff, but unfortunately the room was not being serviced to the standard we would expect from a resort like Casa Dorada. During our stay: Trash bag liners were not replaced. Hand soap and bathroom amenities were not refilled. Toilet paper was not restocked. Sand remained on the floors after housekeeping had cleaned the room. These may seem like small details individually, but together they make a noticeable difference in the guest experience. Basic housekeeping standards should be consistent, especially at a resort that markets itself as a luxury destination. What makes this especially disappointing is that Casa Dorada is not an inexpensive resort. Guests choose to stay here because they expect a premium experience, and they pay premium rates for that experience. As loyal guests who have returned multiple times every year, we’ve noticed the condition of the property declining while the cost of staying continues to increase. The facilities and housekeeping should continue to reflect the quality and price guests are paying.Casa Dorada still has one of the best locations in Cabo and, without question, some of the best employees we’ve ever encountered. The staff deserves five stars. Our hope is simply that upper management invests in the property the same way the staff invests in the guests every single day. These employees deserve facilities that match the exceptional service they provide, and loyal guests deserve the level of quality that originally made Casa Dorada such a special place to return to year after year.We truly hope this review is received as constructive feedback because we would love nothing more than to continue choosing Casa Dorada for many years to come. Right now, it’s the amazing staff keeping us loyal—but the condition of the resort is making that decision much more difficult.

My wife and I we just spent 5 amazing days at Casa Dorada. The property is beautiful amazing value for the money the breakfast was superb we had all our meals at the property flank steak was delicious Mango Margaritas just superb during the World Cup soccer games they had 2 for one deal. The service was superb from Bartenders Servers special thanks for Alejandro He was our server several times we will be back and stay longer, if you are looking for a great property stay here another good selling point the beach is swimmable and within walking distance to the Marina and other Restaurants and Bars special Thanks to Miriam who helped setting up the booking there is NO need to use third party companies book directly the 30 pct discount on food and beverage & the $100 Resort credit was an amazing deal

Casa Dorada was a wonderful hotel, big comfortable rooms and the location was perfect! We walked right out the gate (with a card key for entrance) to the beach, the Mango Deck, Sand Bar and the Office right there! I was a little worried about the noise, but never really noticed from our room. We didn’t do the all inclusive - but there are lots of GREAT local restaurants in walking distance. Everything is in walking distance - Walmart, the marina, shops and vendors, party bars and dining!

We’ve been owners at Casa Dorada on Medano Beach for 18 years, and over that time it has become much more than a vacation destination for our family. It’s a place filled with wonderful memories, largely because of the exceptional people who work here. Emilio has been at Casa Dorada since the beginning, just like us, and he has watched our children grow up on this beach. Our chairs and cabana are always set up when we arrive, the towels are fresh, and his timing is somehow always perfect. It’s a quiet, thoughtful kind of care that never fades, even on the busiest days. Chema, Carlos, and Gabino are equally important parts of our experience. They make every day at the beach and pool feel effortless, comfortable, and welcoming. The beach waitstaff—Jesus, Sergio, Daniel, and Mauricio—are fantastic. Their service is warm, consistent, and attentive, and the food is so good that we end up having lunch on the beach nearly every day of our trip. Brandon at valet is always friendly and genuinely helpful, especially when we need advice or assistance arranging a taxi or Uber. After 18 years, it’s the people who truly make Casa Dorada feel like home. They are the reason our family has created so many lasting memories here—and the reason we continue to return year after year.
