Esperanza, an Auberge Resort

As many people say, I rarely write reviews—and honestly, I usually don’t feel compelled to. But this place is different. We’ve stayed at many hotels in the same category as Esperanza, and from arrival to checkout, this experience stood out in every way. The entire staff was incredibly warm and welcoming, and the attention to detail was evident throughout the property. Our concierge, Sebastian, along with Ruben, were outstanding. During our stay, my daughter lost a tooth—and of course, when you’re in Mexico, the tooth fairy should bring pesos. I reached out to Sebastian for help, and he delivered in the best way. The next morning, my daughter was absolutely over the moon when she found pesos waiting for her. It’s those kinds of thoughtful details that make all the difference. Eric and Maria at Alma were equally fantastic. Every night after dinner, our girls insisted on going back so Eric could make their “special drinks”—not that I needed much convincing. We also did a tequila tasting with Eric, which was both incredibly fun and informative. To top it all off, at checkout, Sebastian presented our daughters with sea turtle stuffed animals, explaining that sea turtles always return home and that they hoped we would too. (His words were much better than mine.) That moment was truly the cherry on top—my wife was in tears in the car. We will absolutely be back.

This is beautiful resort. Outstanding service and will definitely be going back. The views are spectacular. The staff is outstanding.

We have stayed at this property twice and plan to make it an annual stay! The staff is amazing, so hospitable, the service is personalized, and the amenities are wonderful. The rooms are beautiful, well designed, and elevated. Wonderful experience for families and lovely for small children as well.

Property was beautiful, my room was fabulous, staff friendly, responsive, breakfast buffet had everything. My grandchildren really enoyed it every morning. They also really enjoyed all the different pools. Pool service quick and delicious.

We have just returned from 5 days at Esperanza and it was exactly what we were looking for. Really good 5 star service/food/accommodation in an ‘unstuffy’ relaxed environment. Our room was fabulous (spa casita) and we enjoyed all the hotel restaurants. We also had a couples massage that was wonderful. The staff - everyone - is really good at their jobs. We were given top level service at all times and always made to feel welcome as if we were guests at someone’s home not just hotel patrons. 100% recommend! (*we were there during busy Easter break and had no problem getting a pool chair at any time)
