Esperanza, an Auberge Resort

From the moment we arrived to the moment we left... This property is amazing. My husband and I were looking for some serious R & R. The adult pool by the Casitas was quiet and beautiful. The service there, impeccable. The resort is beautiful. The staff is superior. We will go back there for sure.

This our second visit to Esperanza, and once again, my wife and I loved every minute of it. The property is so beautiful and everything is maintained to a very high level. The food was always incredible and service first-class. We loved our room and enjoying time at the adult pool area. Service from William (Willy!), Jersain, and Alfredo was always excellent and attentive. We can't wait to go back!

We had yet another incredible experience at Esperanza and continue to love this resort. The service is top notch, the atmosphere beautiful and inviting, the room are immaculate, food and drinks amazing and overall a special place to stay. The concierge services help craft an amazing itinerary and make sure you are taken care of during your stay. Can't wait to go back!

This was our first time staying at Esperanza, but not our first time staying at an Auberge property. Esperanza did not disappoint in any way and lived up to the Auberge experience we have come to truly appreciate. We spent 5 days at Esperanza during the last week of March. Days prior to our arrival our concierge reached out asking for details about our arrival, any special requests, food allergies and or restrictions and any additional information we might need. As with anything at Esperanza, you provide the information once and that is all that is needed. The team on property goes out of their way to make sure your information is shared and your needs are met throughout your stay. And they do all of this without intruding into your space, your relaxation or your time. We’ve come to appreciate a quiet, relaxing resort - more casual luxury - and Esperanza delivers just that. We tried all of the restaurants and all were great. Each has a different feel and vibe. If relaxed night of tacos and beer isn’t your thing, no problem! Opt for a more structured dining experience at cocina Del Mar. They truly have something to suit your taste and desires, including the option to dine at their sister property Chileno Bay. And if you don’t see what you’re looking for, just ask. The team does their best to accommodate every reasonable request. The room was large, comfortable, with great a/c, great towels and bath products. You’ll be hard pressed to see housekeeping in person as they glide in and out of your room without you ever knowing. The adult pool was a quiet, relaxing environment with a team that went out of their way every day to take care of us. Securing chairs, providing drinks, snacks, lunch or the random offerings like poolside popsicles most afternoons. We did visit the spa and had incredible massages. Often a resort can be over priced in their spa and deliver a mediocre experience. This was not the case. Make no mistake, you are at a resort and paying vacation resort prices, but their specials help and the experience was excellent. All and all it was a great experience that makes it easy for us to want to return in the future. It also confirms that Auberge has the service and experience nailed and I would not hesitate to continue visiting their properties in the future.

The resort itself is lovely without question. That’s why we shelled out the big bucks, right? But once on the ground, every single thing with a cost attached to it is so overpriced that I found it hard to sit back and enjoy the loveliness without feeling a bit taken advantage of. Still enjoyed immensely.
