Montage Los Cabos

We had a wonderful stay at Montage Los Cabos overall. The service was excellent across the board, with especially great attention at the pool, from the concierge team, and in the restaurants. Everyone was warm, helpful, and consistently attentive. The rooms are gorgeous, spacious, and very comfortable for an adults’ getaway, and we loved having the plunge pool. For a resort at this level, though, I was surprised the rooms weren’t a bit more technologically updated. More conveniently placed chargers, automatic drapes, and similar touches would be a welcome addition. Some of the furniture could also use a deeper cleaning or refresh. Mezcal was absolutely exceptional and easily one of the highlights of the entire stay. Breakfast was fantastic, with an amazing bakery, beautifully prepared French omelets, homemade jams, and authentic flavors that made even the simpler dishes feel special. Dinner was equally impressive and much more innovative than we expected from a resort restaurant. The dishes were creative, beautifully executed, and clearly designed for people who really appreciate food. It felt like a true foodie experience, with the level of technique, presentation, and flavor you would expect from a Michelin-caliber restaurant. We would happily come back to Montage just to eat at Mezcal again. Marea was more inconsistent. We had some good dishes, but a few were complete misses, and I think the restaurant could step things up given the caliber and price point of the resort. We didn’t try the Thai restaurant because the seating area felt too hot to comfortably enjoy dinner. The spa and gym are both top notch. The facilities are beautiful, and our massages were excellent. My biggest disappointment was the beach situation. The beach was completely closed during our stay, which felt excessive given that there was no hurricane. I had specifically been looking forward to walking along the beach, so it was frustrating not to have access at all. I understand taking precautions when ocean conditions are unsafe, but it would have been nice to still allow guests to walk or relax safely on the sand where possible. For a resort at this price point, I would also expect a more luxurious beach setup. Comfortable padded loungers and high-quality umbrellas would feel much more appropriate than the hard chairs currently offered. Overall, Montage Los Cabos is a beautiful property with exceptional service, fantastic amenities, and some truly memorable experiences. Mezcal in particular is outstanding and deserves special recognition. With a few upgrades to the rooms, more consistency at Marea, and a more thoughtful approach to the beach experience, the property could be even better.

Great experience. The service was absolutely amazing. The best in my opinion. We will be returning. Btw they had 2 shifts of house keeping that made it so much better. So clean. The staff took pride in their work.

Montage Los Cabos was an absolutely amazing experience from beginning to end and easily deserves five stars. The room was incredible, but the view was what really made it unforgettable. The bed faces large sliding glass doors that open to a breathtaking view of the beach and ocean. Waking up to that view every morning was astonishing. The room itself was also extremely well appointed and fully stocked with just about everything you could possibly need during your stay, and then some. The food and service were on another level from anything I have experienced at a resort before. The attention to detail and overall level of service made the entire stay feel special and elevated the experience considerably. The facilities were equally impressive. The pool, beach, and spa each offered something different and were all exceptional in their own way. The beach itself is worth mentioning because it is not really a traditional soft, sandy beach. It is more pebble-like, and there is a fairly steep drop-off when entering the water. The surf was also a little rough during our stay, so walking into the water could be uncomfortable on your feet. That said, it was still absolutely beautiful, and relaxing on the lounge chairs while enjoying the view was fantastic. We also had massages at the spa, and mine was one of the best massages I have ever had (thanks to Dulce!). The spa facilities were beautiful, and even the locker rooms were incredibly well equipped and stocked with virtually anything you could need. Overall, Montage Los Cabos delivered an exceptional experience. Between the room, breathtaking views, incredible food, outstanding service, spa, pools, and beautiful setting, this was one of those stays that truly feels memorable. I would absolutely return and highly recommend it.

Exceptional boutique resort with stunning pool and beach at Santa Maria Bay. Our King room w private pool and outdoor shower and ocean view was amazing. Extremely good food (especially Marea Lunch tacos, Mezcal breakfast and Talay for some of the best Thai food). Be prepared for high heat in August; even the pool water can be too warm at this time of year, but the resort and views are superb. Be prepared to spends lots of money for food and too much for alcohol (or buy some at the airport). The staff are all amazingly welcoming and helpful. Also be prepared to drive 25 min to Cabo and 25-30 min to San Jose for dining and shopping. We loved San Jose.

We had an outstanding experience at Montage Los Cabos. The hotel is absolutely beautiful, extremely clean, and very well maintained. The service is excellent, and everyone who works here is incredibly kind, welcoming, and hardworking. You can really see how much effort the entire team puts into making every guest feel special. The food was excellent, the pools are beautiful, and the beach is absolutely amazing. The service throughout the entire resort was outstanding. A special thank you to our concierges, Perla and Moses, who were absolutely great throughout our entire stay. They took excellent care of us, were always helpful and attentive, and made our experience even better. We really appreciate everything they did for us. There is honestly nothing negative I can say about our stay. The only suggestion I would make is for the kids’ pool area. The pools are beautiful, but adding even one nice waterslide would make a big difference for families. It would give the kids something extra to enjoy and make an already amazing resort even better for families. We will definitely be coming back. I am extremely picky when it comes to hotels and service, so when I say this is a true five-star hotel, I mean it. Montage absolutely deserves five stars.
