Montage Los Cabos

10000% loved our visit here! The staff was incredible and very friendly, food was amazing! We celebrated our son’s 4th birthday here and for 4 days there was a surprise for him, Mezcal had the most amazing food by far in my opinion my husband loved Talay. Best breakfast is definitely the Mezcal. Expect to spend a good amount on food and snacks and alcohol if you are staying at the resort but town is a fairly quick drive away if you go at a good time and Costco and Walmart are close by for snacks, depending on how long you’re staying. We stayed for 7 nights and were incredibly sad to be leaving. Gratuity is included in all your purchases but also bring cash, be a good human and tip in cash as well. Beach is also incredible great swimming and snorkelling! Fish are super friendly and interactive to snorkel with😊

We had read only first-class reviews of this resort so had high expectations to begin with. Not only did Montage and its incredible employees MEET our expectations but they far exceeded them. My husband and I celebrated our anniversary at the Montage and can't even begin to describe the magic we experienced. First off, the property is exquisite. The setting is idyllic, the gardens are stunning and cleanliness is evident in each step you take. Our room was immaculate and gorgeous. The private pool was the best we have ever experienced. It was stunning and clean and hot and easy to use, with a gorgeous lounging area surrounding it, as well as grass and manicured landscaping. We felt far away from everyone and everything in our private paradise. Housekeeping did an outstanding job twice a day. The touches were subtle and unexpected; the first day, my husband's dog-eared bookmark was replaced by one of their own personal bookmarks. The sheets were divine, the bedding, the towels, indoor/outdoor shower, two sinks, wonderful products, ample and lovely closet space with sufficient storage and hangers. The bathtub looked inviting and pristine but it was a little difficult for me to maneuver with my bad knees......this did not affect my experience one iota. THE EMPLOYEES - WOW!!! I MUST note that I give Montage tremendous credit for how they treat their employees. In Mexico, a six-day work week is standard practice, whereas at the Montage they work only five days. Fabulous for the employees but of course sad for us because we missed our favorites. But this is super important to us - how a company treats its employees is fundamental to our desire to return here. Our two concierge contacts, Alan and Eulises were always available to help with anything and everything. They decorated our room with gorgeous, stunning flowers one day and our room was welcoming with fresh fruit and personalized cookies and cocktails from the get-go. At the beach day one, Erik made SURE every second of the day we had shade - it was unbelievable. He just appeared as soon as an inkling of sun threatened to overheat us! JUAN at the pool seemed to be everywhere all the time, making our days perfect, one after the other. Even when he wasn't our primary server, he seemed to appear to know what we needed and wanted and to make it happen. Inocente was never our designated person, but he may as well have been - his big smiles and remembering my name was insane. Pedro and Moises were fantastic and I am upsetting myself because I know I am forgetting names. The last day, the guys along with the lovely Adanna appeared out of nowhere with treats for us and sang happy birthday to us. I don't even know how to encapsulate it all. OSCAR in Mezcal a- what a gem, Eduardo in Maria - incredible. Inostensio fantastic. And how about HABIB at the valet?? Holy cow this guy is incomparable. The spa was the singularly best spa experience I have ever had at any resort anywhere in the world. ANTONIO transported me to another world and then DULCE joined him to make the experience beyond perfect. The spa itself is stunning. The pools are stunning, the beach is beautiful but beware that it is not fine and easy to walk on. It's just Cabo. Paulo at the Kayak adventure made my morning with her joyful smile, incredible help and wonderful knowledge and customer service. What I wish I had known ahead of time: The best area to snorkel is on the far right as you are looking at the ocean. I do wish I had been told that as I tried to swim in the other area day one and it was a little scary. Kind of had to do the sleuthing myself. They bring you cold water at the pool and replenish it all day. It is also replenished generously in your room. I finally started taking it to the restaurants to avoid paying $10 at every meal - I thought that was a little silly and absurd to be honest. Mezcal was wonderful but our server on second visit was far superior. Oscar was a fabulous consistent presence who escalated our experience both times. Service and food at Marea for breakfast - fantastic. We loved our view and atmosphere for dinner but I didn't love my food. The clams were teeny tiny and not plentiful. I found my pasta to be salty. To be fair, I never said anything. Wish I had stuck to sushi. The Thai restaurant on property was unbelievably delicious and super well priced. The drinks were way overpriced and not strong, however, and service only lackluster - but that was only one person. I am salivating at the thought of that food. The welcome margaritas were probably the best ones we had the entire time. The pool bar wasn't my favorite but the guacamole was out of this world. My complaints seem absurd in comparison to the incredibly relaxing and magnificent experience we had at Montage. I wish I could have known who the housekeeping ladies were so I could have personally thanked and tipped them instead of leaving $ with the front desk. Maybe knowing their names would have been lovely? Everyone was courteous and gracious and helpful and lovely and we are ready to book again next year. Thank you Montage and your staff for the most idyllic and relaxing week and anniversary celebration we could have dreamed of. (also, lounge chairs were more comfy than beach mainly because of padded cushions which is understandable). Oh, and thanks also to the employee who rang the bell every time whales were spotted which was often. Oh and the little daily treats of popsicles and fruit delectables and other culinary surprises at the pool made it ever more perfect. Sigh - wish we were there now. Gracias to ALL!!!!!!!!

Relaxing Long weekend! The stunning location and world class service make the MONTAGE Los Cabos the place for a restful getaway!

We had the most excellent stay at Montage Los Cabos. From check-in to check-out, we were always greeted by name and always made to feel welcome and celebrated. The dining options and quality were superb and we would recommend any of the restaurants to our friends and future travelers. It was so fun to try new food creations and styles of food that we are not accustomed to at home. Our room exceeded expectations and ranks as the best accommodation we have been fortunate to stay in. The hospitality, though, is truly what sets Montage apart - you will not find more caring, kind, and attentive staff anywhere in the world other than a Montage resort, it is truly a special place and experience. We cannot wait to come back!

We had an absolutely incredible stay at the Montage Los Cabos! The property is stunning, perfectly maintained, and offers a truly relaxing luxury experience! We had an ocean front room and it was beautiful with breathtaking views, and every detail thoughtfully taken care of. What really made our stay exceptional were the two wonderful ladies, Mylena and Perla from the guest services. They assisted us throughout the stay from arranging activities and restaurant reservations, to making sure every request was handled quickly and with a smile. They truly elevated our experience and made us feel cared for! We left with wonderful memories and can't wait to return!
