Location: ★★★★★ The location is beautiful with stunning ocean views and a peaceful atmosphere. Atmosphere: ★★★☆☆ The resort itself is beautiful and relaxing. However, upon arrival, I wasn't given a clear introduction to the resort or its amenities. As a first-time guest, I didn't know what activities were available and often felt unsure about what to do. I also wasn't informed that there was a Kids Club, even though I was traveling with my daughter. Better communication at check-in would have made a significant difference. Rooms: ★★★★☆ The room was comfortable, clean, and well maintained. However, during my stay I received around 15 mosquito bites, which affected my overall experience. I hope the resort can improve mosquito control around the property and provide insect repellent for guests when needed.

We had an absolutely incredible time at Park Hyatt Cabo Del Sol! My wife, one year old daughter, parents and myself were all taken care of as soon as we arrived to this beautiful resort. The check in process was very quick and efficient. Our rooms were ready prior to standard check-in time which is always greatly appreciated after flying with a one year old. I cannot express enough how incredibly hard working, accommodating, friendly, and warm the staff was. Every single staff member went above and beyond to make sure my entire family had everything we needed to have a perfect and relaxing stay. I need to give a huge shoutout to Tiffany who assisted us during our stay to help coordinate our daily activities, provide any supplies we needed (including hand delivering swim diapers!), and help guide us throughout the resort. The entire staff at Mesa Madre (thank you Christian, Antonio, and Miguel!) pool service (thank you Carlos and Juan!), and Costamar, and Datil cafe all provided 5 star service and created some of the best tasting meals I’ve ever had on a vacation. We were completely spoiled by them by providing us custom meals that weren’t even on the menu! The ingredients were extremely fresh, perfectly prepared, and genuinely tasted like home cooked meal. Not to mention, the staff treated our daughter with tenderness and care throughout the trip to the point where she was excited to see their friendly faces. Our rooms were also some of the best we’ve stayed at. We used points to book the ocean view plunge pool suite which easily fit a family of four. The bathroom was ridiculously large too! This is a perfect place for families and children to enjoy a beautiful resort that’s easy to navigate and relax by the pool. Just a few minor notes, the room, food, and spa prices are a bit on the higher end (even for Bay Area standards) which may be difficult to compete with the Four Seasons next door. There was still construction going on as this resort is still relatively new (7 months as of this review); Silan’s restaurant was yet to open in the coming month. Also, due to its ongoing development, we basically had the entire resort to ourselves. This was perfect for us though since we basically had the entire pool to ourselves! Lastly, the rooms with plunge pools weren’t as private as rooms on the 2nd floor and above; the plants haven’t grown enough to provide a barrier between the ground level rooms and the walkways. I would personally choose a higher floor room over the plunge pool. Overall, we all had the best vacation! We can confidently say that the staff is what truly makes Park Hyatt stand out as a one of a kind resort! We will absolutely be coming back!

Brand new luxury resort. It’s done in easy smooth warm natural wood and stone tones with no expenses spared. The resort is set on multi levels with expansive views of the ocean. The restaurants are good but not memorable and the service is very friendly and accommodating. The management is most responsive and where they come short, they will try to get things right in a timely manner. They need to infuse more soul into the resort by offering group exercise classes or events at the bar area or some gathering events or anything that will make it a signature element for this resort. The spa is a deserted place that doesn’t beckon you with the scent of a spa or anything that lures you in and the exorbitant spa menu prices are therefore not justified. It’s a beautiful place that needs more landscaped area ratio hard structure. The structures are beautiful but they don’t blend into the areas landscaping because the vegetation is very sparse and young. Overall, we had a restful, peaceful time and the pools were set at just the right temperature and the light water felt silky and heavenly. A little more soul and the place would elevate to new heights.

We booked Park Hyatt Cabo Del Sol because we wanted to try something new after regular stays at Four Seasons Cabo Del Sol and Ritz-Carlton Zadún. After our first day, my impression is that this is a beautiful property that is falling short in several areas where a luxury resort should already be delivering. The setting is spectacular. The architecture, landscaping, and ocean views are outstanding. The resort is visually impressive and easily belongs in the conversation with Cabo’s top luxury properties. The food has been good so far, and the margaritas have actually been better than some of the premium specialty cocktails. Unfortunately, the room experience has been underwhelming. We redeemed Hyatt points for our stay and were only able to book an entry-level resort view room. The hotel upgraded us to an ocean view room, which was appreciated, but the room itself feels surprisingly small and lacks the sense of luxury I expected from a Park Hyatt. Rather than feeling like a flagship luxury resort room, it felt closer to what I would expect at a Grand Hyatt. What was particularly frustrating is that we would have gladly used more points or paid cash to secure a larger suite in advance, but those options were unavailable. Upon arrival, we again offered to pay for an upgrade and were told nothing was available, despite the resort feeling lightly occupied. We were later told a Deluxe Suite might be available the following day, which only added to the confusion. Had that room been available to book with points from the beginning, we likely would have chosen it. Privacy was another disappointment. One of the first things my partner noticed was how exposed the room felt. Guests in neighboring rooms could easily see into portions of our outdoor space. For a resort positioned at this level, we expected a greater sense of privacy and seclusion. The arrival experience also felt disjointed. Our welcome card was addressed to “Ms. Stephen,” which is a small detail but not the sort of detail you expect a luxury property to miss. After the lengthy discussion around room assignments and upgrades, our luggage never arrived in the room and we eventually had to call and request it be delivered. What stood out most was the lack of ownership when issues arose. The General Manager personally welcomed us upon arrival, which initially gave us confidence that the resort was focused on guest experience. However, when concerns came up later, there was little follow-up and the overall message seemed to be that nothing could be done. Luxury hospitality is rarely about perfection. Things go wrong everywhere. The difference is how a property responds when they do. None of these issues are major on their own. Taken together, however, they create the impression of a property that has not yet figured out how to consistently deliver the level of experience its setting, pricing, and brand promise suggest. I do not think these issues can simply be dismissed as growing pains. This is the first Park Hyatt in Mexico, and expectations should be high. Whether guests are paying cash or redeeming points, real value is being exchanged and a luxury experience should follow. The fundamentals of room quality, privacy, communication, and service recovery should already be in place. The most disappointing part is that the resort itself is stunning. The location, architecture, landscaping, and views are worthy of the Park Hyatt name. The service execution, room experience, and attention to detail simply have not matched the quality of the physical property. I will update this review as our stay continues, but after the first day, Park Hyatt Cabo Del Sol feels like a beautiful hotel that is not yet delivering the level of experience expected from a Park Hyatt.

Ultra luxury resort that is also very family friendly. Pros for families: GREAT kids club. My kids wanted to go to the club over the pools as well as our own private plunge pool. The ladies there were very sweet, treated our kids well, and our kids always returned with tons of crafts. Both restos opened as of June 2026 had great outdoor areas (one beach, one courtyard type area) for the kids to run around while the adults ate and enjoyed the scenery. We booked the plunge pool suite and there was ample family living space In which they set up an awesome tent as well as gave us a stool for the little kids, kid shampoo, and kid toothbrushes/toothpaste. These little details were everywhere and in every aspect of this resort. Food at breakfast and dinners were delicious with a wide variety of options. Service everywhere was top notch. This is the way service should be and kudos to the GM for running the best resort I have ever been to.
