Just wonderful

Really a wonderful experience. Staff go above and beyond and the property and accommodations are gorgeous. We'd go back. It's not quite finished yet, but they look like they're very close.

Unforgettable Birthday Stay – World-Class Service!

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 4 days ago

We stayed here to celebrate our daughter’s 5th birthday, and the entire team went above and beyond to make it truly unforgettable. A special thank you to Regina, who took exceptional care of us throughout our stay. She was amazingly quick to respond to every request and efficiently arranged everything we needed. She even thoughtfully prepared a personalized Snow White birthday card and a Snow White crown—our daughter's absolute favorites—along with delicious cake and macarons on our last evening! She was so thrilled! Thanks to an incredible room upgrade, we enjoyed a stunning oceanfront room with our own plunge pool, which our daughter loved swimming in. The resort’s main pools are also spacious, pristine, and wonderfully comfortable. Every staff member was warm and attentive. The Kids Club team was wonderfully patient, leading fun arts and crafts that our daughter thoroughly enjoyed. This level of thoughtful, personalized service made our trip extra special. We cannot wait to return!

I had the privilege of spending my birthday at this property and have never felt more special or better taken care of by an entire hotel staff in my life. Regina and the entire team (from reception to restaurants to hospitality) warmly introduced themselves, wished me a happy birthday (which it was!) and helped my partner and I feel at home. I would go back in a heartbeat. Thank you to everyone there who made sure we felt welcome from start to finish.

Outstanding facilities and food. Some hiccups but for a luxury experience in a refined setting, totally worth it.

Went here to celebrate anniversary with my wife for a long weekend. We are globalists and did use a suite upgrade award obtained a partial ocean view suite with plunge pool. No further upgrade was given though we loved our room as I'll mention below. Hotel is about 30 min from the airport. Check-in process was smooth, though do wish they explained the globalist benefits without prompting/told me about activities/information at the hotel. We felt like we had to ask to find out more even though it was our first time at the hotel. That being said everyone was courteous and polite and we got a good tour of our room which was ready when we arrived (~12pm). The room was spacious, brand new, beautiful, and absolutely one of our favorites we have ever stayed in. We were in building 7 which was easy enough to walk to the main pool, the adults only pool, or the spa/gym. Note as others have said that the privacy is lacking BUT the hotel is generally quiet and we barely had people walking by the main path when we were using the pool. It is not a jacuzzi, the temp is simply "nice" and given the 80s-90sF weather when we were there we never needed it to be cooler or warmer. Truly enjoyed the plunge pool. Only thing my wife and I both commented on is that we felt the bed's were a little bit too firm. Usually we love hyatt bed's, for us personally have just had better experiences with beds at other Hyatt hotels. Nonetheless it's not a dealbreaker it is still nice, comfortable, and spacious. Breakfast was 5/5. Everything was delicious. Our waiter Oscar deserves a shout out as he delivered constant surprises and impeccable service. We looked forward to each morning for the delicious breakfast food and amazing service Oscar provided. He was definitely a highlight of our stay and if you go to the Mesa Madre restaurant for breakfast or lunch you should definitely ask for him! While talking about food, we had room service, which was decent. Dinner at Mesa Madre was outstanding and we highly recommend to check out if you stay at the hotel. All the local dishes were just phenomenal. We went to 3 other restaurants during our stay (several others as fancy as this one) and by far had the best meal at Mesa Madre. That being said it was mostly empty, which compared to the dinner and ambiance we had at Cayao at Four Seasons (which we recommend! There is a free shuttle between the two), would have been nice to have had a little more ambiance while we were there. The pools were beautiful, spacious, and never greatly busy. Service was great, especially at the main pool. Enrique became our regular waiter and he was also super on top of all of our requests. Tbh the only thing I would ask the hotel to improve from pool/food service is the cocktail menu. They can certainly make things that you ask custom but the list of cocktails (and we had many) were just mostly average, especially when charging 20-30 usd$ per drink. Our favorite drink was actually a mocktail called No Ponche. We had the couples ritual at the Spa, which was quite the splurge. The experience was decent overall, I don't truly know, at least comparing to other experiences at other hotels/spas if it was worth 1200$. We also had a little bit of a dissapointment with the staff as we went to breakfast and told the staff (the one morning Oscar was not helping us out!) we had our appointment at 9 at the spa and they offered a shuttle which was nowhere to be found. So we had to walk to the spa and were consequently late. This resulted in our treatment being cut short by 10-15 minutes. If it was on us great but we were late because the shuttle didn't show up! I gave the spa staff this feedback and not much came of it. For the level of service this hotel is trying to provide I do think it can be improved. Mostly the communication between different staff in the hotel. We did have a concierge, didn't really need her since we already had plans for the weekend. She did ask us when we wanted to have the room cleaned and nightly turndown service. We were a little surprised she asked us this every single day only to have the room cleaned several hours after our request and one night not even having the turndown service (when we reached out to her all of a sudden someone showed up within 10 minutes at 9pm to offer it...At least this happened, BUT the do not disturb light was on and they knocked a few times and came into the room....at a very inappropriate time. My wife and I were not happy about this and shared the feedback. Overall we do rate it a 5/5 since the property is so beautiful, it is still partially under construction but is nearly done. The decor is so well placed, the staff genuinely care and are very nice (but need significant training in communication and coordination between different departments), and honestly we just loved our breakfasts, the dinner, and the serene ambiance at the hotel. I do think we will be back at some point in the future, and we do hope that management can work on this bit of training for their staff that is still needed to truly make it a five star experience (outside of Oscar he is what everyone should strive to be). Nonetheless we had a wonderful weekend and if you are thinking about coming here you should do it. Just be aware it is priced for the premium experience that it is. One last thing about the spa, the sauna/steamroom/jacuzzi/cold plunge each have their own gender specific areas. My wife and I were a little disappointed we couldn't have these experiences together. I do feel like most of the new spas have transitioned from gender-specific experiences and Saria being a brand new spa we would have hoped the experiences could be shared, especially with the couples orientation of the hotel.

The rooms and property are beautiful. The pools are huge and never busy. The food is one of the best I've ever had. Gotta try the octopus in love for dinner at Mesa Madre. The Mexican flavors really come through all the dishes.
