I just returned from a week with my family (husband, children ages 21 and 23, and myself) and we all had a great vacation. We have visited many beach resorts and the people who run the entertainment/activities and the food/drinks service at the pool and restaurants might be the best we have had. I want to shout out Aimee, Leilani, Sara, Jair, Roberto and Rodrigo for their top notch energy and friendliness while they ran activities suitable for all ages and interests. And while I unfortunately only remember two servers’ names, Daniel and Ricardo, the entire staff is amazing. The only issue we had is the lack of coordination between the concierge and the pool staff. We reserved a cabana through the concierge, but the pool staff was not aware so they gave it away. Which was a bummer and we did end up waking up early each morning to reserve seats at the pool because we did not trust the cabana reservation system. Other than that, a great resort!

My daughter booked a wedding in May at this facility, where an expected 100 guests will be staying at the facility. We came to check it out early. We failed to book add on breakfast at time of booking. The cost difference for 2 was less than $25. We asked if we could add it on, mind you the $150 a day for all inclusive was available but not the breakfast for 2 at $25. We were invited to enjoy at $27 per person but not able to add on, despite the pending wedding with 100 guests. We also brought our clubs to play a $350 round of golf. When I asked about shuttle to the golf course I was told no shuttle to course if you have your clubs. We were required to take public transportation, unless we didn’t have our clubs. I think in the future Casa Dorado offers a better value. If one potential person switched plans it will be worth my taking the effort to write this review.

Highly recommend the Playa Grande! Atmosphere was great! Vibe was perfect! Property was beautiful! Rooms were nice and very clean. Special thanks to Hector at the swim-up bar, he made some incredible mudslides and was a pleasure to chat with! He even participated in a video with us to commemorate our trip to Cabo. My wife and I will absolutely be staying here again!
