Villa del Arco Beach Resort & Spa

Villa del Arco is truly our home away from home. Our entire family loves everything about it—the food, the beach, and, most of all, the incredible people who make every stay so special. The service is consistently exceptional and one of the biggest reasons we keep coming back. Mariano, a senior bellman, has been with the resort for more than 20 years and has become a true icon of Villa del Arco. His kindness, professionalism, and genuine warmth set the tone from the moment you arrive. He has welcomed our family over the years with the same smile and outstanding service, making every visit feel like we’re returning to family. People like Mariano are what make Villa del Arco such a special place, and we’re grateful for everything he does.

Villa de Arco is always a highlight of our year. Great people, great food, very well kept resort. Mariano, the doorman who works out front is attentive and amazing. He has been there since the resort opened 20 years ago and he is a true asset.

If there was a zero, I’d pick that! I tried to keep a comprehensive list as I went. Here’s my jotted down list and I’m sure I could add more. Confusing layout at Los Arcos Elevators are BEYOND slow! Reservations for Kids club were extremely difficult & it was HORRIBLE! Maybe one bin of what looked like Goodwill rejects toys (broken and random) No WiFi access at sister resorts?! You’ve got to be kidding me. So how do guests at Villa Del Arco leave their kids at Kids club? Without any contact ?! You NEED to mention we NEED a data plan if we have kids going to kids club Kids club is awful! 4-12 years old?! My 2 year old would be bored there. Not a single car, train, rolling toy, arts and crafts, nothing! And the bathroom exploded while they were there! Unacceptable We are coming from staying at Garza Blanca, let me say this resort falls beyond short. Laughable No double vanities, one tiny bar soap, two towels for a family of four, and disgusting room snacks Definitely will be our last visit hhaha. This is below our expectations The doors at breakfast were not automatic! Every time we went in and out, we kept having to open and close the ridiculously HEAVY door manually when our hands were full! At El Patron Have rooms ready when we arrive. We were so hot 🥵 from the trip and then had to sit miserable OUTSIDE again! Lobby does not have AC! Are you kidding me?! SLOW to refill our fridge and don’t come until next day (even though we requested it the previous morning ! So boring!!! When the ocean is rough, which this section of beach just doesn’t look like it’s ever safe (red flags always up), what else is there to do for kids? Kids club sucks, no play areas, and no shows or entertainment onsite! Smoke and mirrors… they say they have all these amenities and half of them are closed or they just change the names of the same location to sound like it’s a different restaurant haha For example, there’s no taco bar when their staff is low. Internet throughout the resort SUCKS! I spent 80% of the time trying to log onto your WiFi Fitness center was fine and I’m sure spa was fine too but didn’t visit spa. Trolley was cute but again, you can’t use sister resort pools and no WiFi so no point in going. Fun for the kids to just ride there and back. Yay :/ Overall, never again. SO GLAD to be home!

My wife and I recently stayed at Villa del Arco for a belated anniversary celebration, and overall we had a very positive experience, although ultimately we decided it probably isn’t the resort we’d choose for a future Cabo trip. First, I have to give Villa del Arco tremendous credit for the service. Every member of the staff we encountered was friendly, attentive, and professional. We had absolutely no complaints about the service throughout our stay. The highlight of our arrival was the Happy Anniversary welcome I arranged in advance. The resort absolutely exceeded my expectations. When we opened the door, there were towel swans and balloons on the bed, “Happy Anniversary” spelled out in red pebbles, chocolate-covered strawberries, a beautiful anniversary dessert, sparkling wine, and a Happy Anniversary banner on the door. My wife was genuinely overwhelmed by the thought and effort that went into it and was nearly in tears. It was beautifully done and created an incredibly memorable start to our trip. The resort deserves major credit for getting that exactly right. Our one-bedroom suite was very nice, and the property itself is beautiful and extremely well maintained. The pool area was also lovely, and we appreciated how relaxing everything was. The biggest issue for us was the atmosphere. We aren’t looking for a party resort or a nightclub, but we do like a little energy and activity while we’re on vacation. Villa del Arco was simply too quiet for our tastes. There was very little music or activity around the pool during the day, and at night the resort became extremely quiet. There weren’t really bars or entertainment areas where we could sit, have a drink, listen to some music, and enjoy the evening. It felt like the resort essentially shut down when the sun went down. We actually found ourselves going over to Villa del Palmar, which is part of the same complex, when we wanted more restaurant choices, activity, and atmosphere. In hindsight, that’s probably where we should have stayed. Unfortunately, I also came down with a case of travelers’ diarrhea toward the middle of our stay, which limited what I could eat and drink and kept me from enjoying a couple of days as much as I would have liked. That’s obviously not something I would attribute to the resort, but it did affect our overall vacation experience. To be clear, I don’t think Villa del Arco is a bad resort at all. In fact, I’d recommend it to someone specifically looking for a beautiful, upscale, peaceful place to relax. If your idea of a perfect vacation is lounging by the pool, enjoying excellent service, and having a quiet evening, this may be exactly what you’re looking for. For my wife and me, though, we discovered that we want something a little different: a beautiful resort with outstanding service, but with some music and activities around the pool during the day and restaurants, bars, and entertainment that keep the property alive after dark. Villa del Arco delivered exceptionally well on service, accommodations, and our anniversary celebration. It just wasn’t the right atmosphere for us. We are very glad we experienced it, and we’ll always remember how wonderfully they helped us celebrate our anniversary.

We had the best time on our family vacation. Tony at the pool Was so much fun, we loved him. He was the best activity coordinator, so engaging & great with everyone!!
