Dream Vacation

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 6 days ago

We spent 6 wonderful days at the Conrad Chia Laguna. From the first minutes of our stay at the hotel until our departure, we felt very welcome. Everyone working at that hotel deserves praise and makes that place where you want to come back. During check-in, we were treated to welcome cocktails on the terrace with a beautiful view. Thanks to the Diamond member status, we got an upgraded room (junior suite), which was very nice. In the room, a welcome gift was waiting for us - wine and fruits. Even though the room felt like it needed renovation, it was still nice and comfortable. A powerful but quiet air conditioner. Even though we had loungers in the garden, they didn’t have towels. The breakfast was delicious with a good variety of choices. Some mornings it felt like they didn’t have enough personnel to clean tables, while people were lining up for outside tables. The resort has a huge territory with lots of greenery and flowers, there is also a huge spa center, restaurants, bars, swimming pools, shops, and a stage where concerts were held in the evenings, first for children, then for adults. There is live music every evening in the hotel bar. We also saw children's mini clubs where animators worked with children. Shuttles (golf carts) are quick and take you to the beach, which is only 5 minutes away. Sun loungers, umbrellas and towels are provided on the beach. What is especially important is that the sun loungers are not close to each other, so there is no feeling of crowding. You can also order food directly to your sun lounger. The beach is fantastic, and the water is crystal clear. One suggestion for the beach service is to have an air pump for the guests to inflate inflatables. You can also order a transfer to the airport in a comfortable car via the hotel concierge (at the same price as a regular taxi, as it is a flat rate). We would like to thank the manager Manuela and her team, who solved all our questions with high professionalism. We felt an individual approach to all our wishes. We travel a lot, but such hospitality and customer focus as in this hotel is rare these days.

Excellent service and beaches; the wider resort is a little funky!

On the plus side this is a nicely upgraded hotel within the Chias Laguna resort. It is on the expensive side but you get rooms that are spacious, the common areas nicely appointed, and the pool and spa are impressive. We booked two connecting rooms for a family of 4 with great view of the sea, and nice balconies. We did the breakfast included package; the buffet is huge and varied, and you also order eggs etc cooked to order. Enjoy a full breakfast and you can skip lunch! The shuttles to the two beaches are really quick and efficient, and the highlight of staying at the hotel are those beach and the sun loungers under umbrellas - included on the price of your room (as long as you don't take the front two rows which add 200 euros extra per lounger!) The Conrad beach area is at the quiet and nice end of the two beaches, and the water there is beautiful. Hang there all day, taking a dip when you are hot, and then ice-creams in the afternoon. That alone would bring us back. The wider resort (which Conrad is a part of) is a little funky; each evening they have live entertainment in the central area, which is a little odd - a bit like being at an old holiday camp, but I guess that's part of the scene here. The on-site restaurants are OK, but not great, and we got a sense that part of that is due to the fact they are included in the half board option. It does mean they get booked up. There are other local restaurants nearby if you have a car, and they are OK, but also a little dissapointing considering this is Italy. The real draw is the natural surrounding and the amazing beaches. A must do is to take a boat trip to the Zafferano beach - idilic, extraordinary glacier blue waters. (It is not accessible by road). Overall we would definitely come back as this part of the island really does feel natural and the beaches and sea very special compared to the usually cram-packed Mediterranean resorts.

Sardinian restaurant

We had a wonderful dinner at Sa Mesa, the Sardinian specialty restaurant at Chia Laguna. Executive Chef Roberto Chergia created dishes using high-quality local artisanal products, showcasing his remarkable culinary artistry. Every course reflected authentic Sardinian flavors prepared with passion and skill. Compliments to the chef and the whole team for an unforgettable experience!

The best escape to recharge, well worth a visit

I had the pleasure of staying at the hotel as I regularly travel by myself and at times this can be daunting however the whole process from check in put me at ease with my stay and nothing was too much trouble. The staff were friendly and welcoming, which put me at ease to relax, unwind and truly recharge in the most beautiful locations. I loved having the pools and easy access to some of the most beautiful beaches. The bedrooms, food, service & location are truly 5* and I cant wait to come back as soon as possible

Incredible place to stay

We had a wonderful stay at the Conrad Hotel in Chia Laguna — it truly exceeded our expectations in every way. The hotel still feels brand new, with a modern yet warm design that instantly makes you feel relaxed and welcomed. The moment you step into the lobby, you’re greeted with the most beautiful scent — subtle, fresh, and luxurious — setting the tone for the rest of your stay. The pool area is absolutely lovely: spacious, tranquil, and perfectly maintained, with stunning views of the surrounding landscape. It was the perfect place to unwind and soak up the Sardinian sun. We also had a fantastic dinner at the hotel restaurant. The food was superb — beautifully presented and full of flavour, with attentive service to match. It was a real highlight of our stay. Altogether, the Conrad Chia Laguna offers a serene, high-end experience in a breathtaking location. We can’t wait to return.
