stayed for 3 nights in March - had a 'garden view' room which was unfortunately right at the entrance to the hotel, so it was very noisy. If you're going ask for one nearer the hotel entrance doors rather than the gate area. Views from the back of the Pyramid made you feel they were in your garden. Only spoiled by a wedding, which was behind a huge wall construction, obliterating the views if you were unlucky enough to be sitting in front of it. And of course, being a wedding, it was very noisy. There was another wedding on the lawn by the pool also - so more structures and disco noise. The next day, thankfully the huge blocking structure was removed. But replaced by another much smaller one, for another wedding, so more disco noise. So remember to ask if they have a wedding or event on during your stay, there may be more than one at the same time! POSITIVES... staff in the restaurants/pool area and cleaners and gardeners were exceptional THANK YOU. The food was also fantastic and an amazing breakfast buffet. Wonderful pool area, wifi wasn't good down in our room and in fact on the last day we didn't have any, and the tv also wouldn't work, and they couldn't fix it .

I wish I could say that my stay at Mena House was amazing, but unfortunately I can't. Prior to my arrival I asked to make a birthday dinner reservation at a table with the best possible view of the Pyramids. I was told a reservation wasn't needed, despite there being a reservation option on their website. Upon arrival I saw that a huge structure was being built that partially blocks the view of one pyramid and completely blocks the view of the other pyramid, so I guess that's why they weren't encouraging about booking a reservation. Additionally, in my pre arrival email I mentioned I was visiting for my birthday. They responded offering to "make it memorable" with decorations and a cake, none of which happened. In fact, there was zero recognition at all, which is unusual for any hotel, but especially for a five star hotel. Don't offer things and then not follow through. To add insult to injury, I had dinner at one of the properties restaurants, I made a reservation and mentioned my birthday. The table next to me were celebrating a birthday and they got acknowledged but...not me. Also, my flight was delayed and I arrived at 10:50am. My VIP pyramid access was at 10:40am and the guy at the front desk could not have cared less. The AM Habiba heard and came out and saved the day. She is amazing and she was the only good thing about my stay. The property is beautiful, but the rooms are dated. The spa was nice, and the people there were lovely. You have a view of the pyramids, but you can get that at other hotels too. Hopefully other people will have a better experience than I did.

As mentioned many times in reviews past, the view is absolutely beautiful! From of course the view of the main attraction, the pyramids, to the view of the beautifully laid out flower grid and shallow fountain/decorative “pool”, it truly does inspire such a satisfying sensory experience. The abundance of semi-immersive nature present supplements that experience as well. Though my hotel reservation was else where, I frequented 139 pavilion restaurant in part for the above reasons, but as well as for the food. They have a wide variety of high quality food, from their set menu to their early morning breakfast buffet. The waiting staff is extremely warm, welcoming, kind and attentive, and all do an outstanding job at making you feel at home, making sure to have all of your needs taken care of. Thanks to Amal especially, she’s very warm with such a nice, bubbly & nurturing personality; many here are very warm hearted, they do their best to try to make guests feel comforted and accommodated so that their experience plays out to be as smooth as possible . All in all, it’s an experience well worth the price point, especially especially especially especially for the enchanting up close views of the pyramids; (the restaurant is priced just as any quality restaurant in the states would be. At night the experience is elevated, as their ambient lighting creates an ethereal scene, the pyramids, in all their timeless ancient beauty, up close, are ‘lit up’/ around by beaming lights, and live music sets the tone. It’s also very quiet here as well, you can barely hear cars from outside of the courtyard!

We were not residents of the hotel as we were staying elsewhere but have stayed in this hotel many years ago. We ate here for 2 nights, based on our previous experiences, once in the Indian restaurant and once in the Pavilion buffet. Both meals were outstanding and the staff were just so lovely. The view of the pyramids from the restaurants is second to none and it’s worth paying a little extra to come here to eat. The hotel accepts non residents. In addition I have to have to praise the reception staff, as I received notification on a job assessment that I was required to conduct while on holiday. My hotel did not have a business centre and I required a PC. They came to my aid and allowed me to use their computer in the club suite to conduct the exam. They went over and above the standard level of customer service. They even looked after my husband while I did it. I cannot thank them enough, you are all truly lovely and amazing and we will return as in-house guests at some point in the future.

We stayed here for a week after our Viking cruise provided beautiful and spacious room with lots of suitcases storage, large bathroom with great storage for toiletries. Had a tub/shower. AC was quiet and efficient. Balcony with table and chairs. ATM by lobby which was handy. Courteous staff. Large pool with fabulous Italian restaurant where we ate three times. 24 hour restaurant on site with great food and outdoor seating. Weather was cooler so only used the pool once, sat inside to dine. Included breakfast was amazing with Egyptian choices as well as Western. Did not try the $75 US supper buffet but menu choices were both Western and Egyptian. Had the kebabs twice, once beef, once chicken and could easily have shared them. The staff was friendly and welcoming. The view from the courtyard is of the pyramids. Our room faced the entrance with pools and waterfalls. Security is tight. They do not let unauthorized vehicles in so provide information if you are expecting a vehicle to pick you up. Used the hotel car to take us to the airport for $100 US as our transfer vehicle did not arrive. The palace on site is being renovated but there are two shops selling jewelry, etc still open inside. The Italian restaurant will move to the hotel entrance next year and space will become a spa. High end Indian restaurant next to the 24 hour restaurant. Great location as GEM was five minutes away. Highly recommend.
