Marriott Mena House, Cairo

We stayed at this wonderful hotel for four nights and enjoyed every minute of it. It offers great views of the Giza Pyramids and is an oasis of tranquility in one of the busiest tourist areas in the world. The hotel is very close to the Pyramids and the Grand Egyptian Museum. The breakfast is very good, and the main restaurant—with beautiful pyramid views—is open 24 hours. Our room was spacious and very quiet. The staff was very friendly and efficient. I highly recommend this hotel to anyone who wants to be near the main attractions and avoid a long commute from Cairo hotels.

Credit to Marriott. They have taken an iconic location and fully done it justice. Firstly the hotel itself is unmatched, honestly globally. There are arguably 2-3 hotels in the world that have the views and access like this place. The pyramids of Giza almost become background as part of beautifully maintained gardens. Rooms were luxurious and well kept. The main building was under repair when we stayed, but still we had outside seating 4 of 5 of meals we ate, and if your willing to wait 10 minutes, you will have the best table of your life every day. Also worth noting (they don’t advertise) that they have exclusive side access to the pyramids via a golf buggy to a quieter part of the hotel if you give them a days notice. From a service point of view, they do the location justice. So often these places rely on the background and cut corners. Not here. We had access to the M club that had great snacks and drinks regularly stocked, but the real stars where the staff themselves. The staff made my son feel like a little celebrity coming to breakfast every day, and we were on first name terms with our room cleaner (Ahmed Rabie) whose towel and room decorations made him like a magician to my son. Little things they do should also not be ignored. They fully vetted our private tour guide in detail before letting us leave in order to ensure we were safe which was a real comfort. I think try to stay here before they finish the main building, as this place has potential to be to hotels globally one day.

This hotel was amazing. the location was perfect, the food delicious, the staff was 100% on point. I'd like to pint out staff that just went above and beyond and made our experience great. Wagen Hassamein created us and made us feel welcome every time we met. Also, there Mohamed from the kitchen staff. he made our meal experience amazing. The atmosphere here was to die for. With a view like no other.

Tradition meets modern service with fantastic views of the pyramids. Simply nothing to complain - from extraordinary friendly check-in incl a day room as our rooms haven’t been ready to the extra mile and a special entrance to the pyramids. Staff is outstanding friendly and the pool area a welcome resort within the hotel to relax after tons of culture over the day. We can only recommend Mena House
