The Nile Ritz-Carlton, Cairo

The location is excellent, the staff were fantastic throughout, and the room was clean. As Marriott Titanium members, we were generously upgraded to a Ritz-Carlton Suite with a balcony and fantastic views over the Nile, which was a real highlight of the stay. However, while everything is well maintained, the hotel is clearly aging and would benefit from a renovation. In particular, the carpets really need to be replaced. Overall, a very enjoyable stay thanks to the wonderful staff, excellent location and beautiful Nile views.

An extremely disappointing experience for a 5-star hotel. At check-out, I was not provided with an invoice. I was told that Booking.com was responsible for issuing the invoice, not the hotel. Booking.com subsequently denied this – which makes sense to me, as Booking.com is the booking platform, and in all my previous hotel stays I have always received the invoice directly from the hotel. After that, I had to repeatedly request my invoice over several days. My requests were repeatedly rejected or I was simply ignored. Only after escalating the matter and also contacting Marriott did I finally receive a document – however, it is labelled only as a “Folio/Information Invoice.” I can only hope that this is considered a proper final invoice. The fact that a guest has to chase a 5-star hotel for days and even escalate the matter just to obtain an invoice for a fully paid stay is completely unacceptable to me. This kind of administrative handling is nowhere near the standard I would expect from a hotel of this category or from Marriott.

I had an unforgettable stay at The Nile Ritz-Carlton, Cairo. The hotel offers a perfect combination of luxury, comfort, and Egyptian hospitality. The location on the Nile is amazing, with beautiful views and easy access to Cairo’s main attractions. The rooms were elegant, spacious, and very comfortable. The staff were professional, friendly, and always ready to help. The service quality, cleanliness, and attention to detail made the experience truly special. I highly recommend choosing a Nile View room to enjoy the breathtaking scenery, especially during sunset. A wonderful place for travelers looking for a luxury experience in the heart of Cairo. Tip for future travelers: Ask for a room overlooking the Nile — the view is absolutely worth it!

Good: Great location, Good Breakfast, Friendly Service, Clean Rooms, Security Bad: Lot's of parties over the week end so it can get little noisy. Details: I had a great stay at the Ritz-Carlton Cairo. The location is excellent, making it easy to explore the city and nearby attractions. The breakfast offered a wide variety of delicious options, the staff was consistently friendly and attentive, and the rooms were clean, comfortable, and well maintained. I also appreciated the strong security, which made the hotel feel very safe throughout my stay. One thing to keep in mind is that the hotel hosts quite a few parties on the weekends, so it can get a bit noisy at night. If you're a light sleeper, you may want to request a room away from the event areas. Overall, it's an excellent hotel with outstanding service, a prime location, and great amenities. I would definitely stay here again.

We didn't stay here, we only had dinner after our visit to the Museum and it was an excellent experience. I remember had 2 dessert since I couldn't decide which one to get. Had a Lamb Shank for main course, and it was tender and tasty. I saw this draft review now that I'm planning again to return to Egypt (late post) and see the new Museum. Food prices in Egypt is much cheaper compared to my lunch in California. Staff here are very friendly.
