Like the city itself, The Ritz-Carlton, Cairo carries a rich legacy of tradition and luxury. Overlooking the Nile River, the hotel continues along the path of decadence with 5-star amenities including an Olympic-sized pool, a rooftop lounge, spacious accommodations with river and museum views, a relaxing spa and a tempting patisserie. Guests are simultaneously immersed in the culture of Cairo and the lavishness of the hotel.

Mixed feelings about this hotel. The rooms are pretty but we had a number of issues. The first room we were given reeked of smoked. They assured it us it was a nonsmoking room, but moved us anyway. The 2nd room, the toilet had a major leak. When we tried to turn OFF the airconditioning, they had to send someone up to actually dismantle it. But the staff is incredibly nice and helpful.

This is a nice, luxury hotel with great service. Only complaint was that our room with a Nile view had a lot of street noise.

We stayed in the club lounge level. Excellent service, very attentive staff. They are extremely helpful with whatever you need. The evening show at one of the restaurants was a great addition to our experience. This hotel is in a great location with a beautiful view of the Nile river

Excellent location Fantastic and clean rooms Spacious bathrooms Only disadvantage that make one hesitant to book again is: NOISE: 1. there was a very loud humming noise from a night club ( don’t know whether it is in the hotel or outside it ) from 11 pm till 6 am 2. The house keeping employees are talking loudly in the morning and they clean in noisy fashion

I booked a few extra days at the ritz as part of a tour. I had numerous communications with them confirming I wouldn’t have to switch rooms 1. Checked in and were told we would have to move rooms 2/ was booked in a smoking room 3. I booked through Amex but was not told I could only use my credit in the days I had booked 4. Was not given a tour or any information on the property 5. I asked the concierge where to go shopping at night which wasn’t flashy stores or super expensive. They said the four seasons mall. I confirmed stores would be open and they weren’t. So k wasted an entire might going to the four season and the few open stores were very expensive and flashy. I can’t ge a night back in Cairo! 6. Spoke to a manager who was not looking at me as I spoke. He said what can’t I do? 7. Later h found out my tour company had a discount at the restaurant I wasn’t told about 8 I was asked for a review and the manager contacted me and his offer was a late check out which my tour company had arranged and a 20 percent discount on the overly expensive spa. I would recommend staying at the marriott
