Like the city itself, The Ritz-Carlton, Cairo carries a rich legacy of tradition and luxury. Overlooking the Nile River, the hotel continues along the path of decadence with 5-star amenities including an Olympic-sized pool, a rooftop lounge, spacious accommodations with river and museum views, a relaxing spa and a tempting patisserie. Guests are simultaneously immersed in the culture of Cairo and the lavishness of the hotel.

I booked a few extra days at the ritz as part of a tour. I had numerous communications with them confirming I wouldn’t have to switch rooms 1. Checked in and were told we would have to move rooms 2/ was booked in a smoking room 3. I booked through Amex but was not told I could only use my credit in the days I had booked 4. Was not given a tour or any information on the property 5. I asked the concierge where to go shopping at night which wasn’t flashy stores or super expensive. They said the four seasons mall. I confirmed stores would be open and they weren’t. So k wasted an entire might going to the four season and the few open stores were very expensive and flashy. I can’t ge a night back in Cairo! 6. Spoke to a manager who was not looking at me as I spoke. He said what can’t I do? 7. Later h found out my tour company had a discount at the restaurant I wasn’t told about 8 I was asked for a review and the manager contacted me and his offer was a late check out which my tour company had arranged and a 20 percent discount on the overly expensive spa. I would recommend staying at the marriott

We had a pleasant stay. The inside of the hotel is nice. The outside looks like it’s about to fall apart. Our mattress had a huge dip in it, but they replaced it which was amazing. The rooms are a bit dated. Room service guys were super nice. Breakfast was pretty good. Dinner was was just ok. Alcohol(liquor) drinks were not good. Egypt 5 star is definitely not US 5 star.

Overall, great service and excellent location with slight hiccups. We spent 6 nights and 7 rooms with club lounge access. I’ll start with the hiccups: Check-in was slow as they had to do a lot of work on the computer! I was surprised to see people smoking in closed area such as the bar. Although it’s common in Egypt I guess but this is Ritz Carlton! There was no dental kit in the bathroom and I had to ask for it. The hairdryer wasn’t functioning and I had to wait two days for them to replace it. Now, the positives: Very friendly and helpful staff. Osama at the breakfast was always there to help; Ibrahim from housekeeping made sure our rooms are kept clean and tidy few times a day; Rami at the club lounge did his best to rectify issues and even gave me some Ritz Carlton gifts! The shower was very good and the bed very comfortable. We will definitely stay there again.

Despite being relatively old, the property's clean design, excellent maintenance, and convenient location position the Nile Ritz Carlton at the very top amongst hotel options in Cairo. And rooms and suites are elegant and spacious. Service is also consistent, restaurants are fine (not great, but ...). The only remark I would have is that the New Year party was puzzling (in particular the music - repertoire, execution and sound system) to non-existent.

An overrated and somewhat tired property set on the Nile river in Cairo Egypt. The Service level and staff are not up to snuff. We had a serious event occur during our stay and the staff’s response and management of this incident was unlike anything I’ve seen at any world class hotel across the globe. It was truly shocking the experience that the type of service and care that this supposedly top natch hotel provided. From the incessant focus on payments and tipping to the brusque service level provided by the food service staff, our two-day stay was anything but Ritz level service that we’ve enjoyed at so many other Ritz properties across the globe.
