We visited Egypt with high hopes, and the Waldorf Astoria Cairo exceeded every one of them. From the moment we arrived, the experience felt genuinely special, not in a cold or formal way, but warm and personal in a way that is surprisingly rare at a property of this caliber. The welcome at the entrance set the tone immediately. Baky Mady and Sayed helped us with our bags and made it their business to learn our names within minutes of our arrival. That kind of attentiveness is not something you can train with a script. It comes from people who genuinely care, and it made all the difference from the very first moment. Our room was spotless and beautifully maintained. Fresh water bottles were stocked and waiting, and the shower was excellent. Simple things done right go a long way, and the Waldorf Astoria Cairo gets that. The spa and wellness facilities were truly state of the art. I worked out every single day in a gym that was exceptionally well equipped. We soaked in the hot tub, enjoyed massages, and took full advantage of every facility available. The attention to detail and quality of service across every touchpoint in that space was remarkable. The restaurant was a highlight every single evening. The quality and variety of the food never disappointed, and the atmosphere made dinner feel like an event worth looking forward to. The breakfast buffet was equally impressive. Fresh fruit, made-to-order omelettes, and a generous spread of proteins gave us exactly the fuel we needed before heading out to explore. The hotel also arranged our transportation to the Egyptian Museum and the pyramids, and that experience was seamless and wonderful. Having that taken care of with the same level of care and quality as everything else at the property made exploring Cairo feel effortless.
