Hotel Le Germain Calgary

We stayed at Le Germain Hotel Calgary for the final few nights of our Alberta road trip while exploring downtown Calgary. First off, a quick note about parking — it’s a bit tricky at first. When you turn onto the hotel’s street, you need to take a left just before the building to descend into the underground car park. If you’re self-parking, you have to go down to basement level 4 or 5 before you can park — the spaces above that are reserved for valet only! Once we figured that out, everything else was smooth sailing. The reception team was incredibly friendly, and check-in was quick and easy. Our room had a small walk-in closet area, which was perfect for a couple of large suitcases, keeping the main bedroom area tidy. The rooms themselves are modern, comfortable, and come with all the usual amenities you’d expect. We were lucky to get a room with a view of the Calgary Tower, which was a nice touch — otherwise, the view would have been fairly ordinary. Overall, it made for a very comfortable and convenient stay.

I loved this hotel! And I've stayed in a fair few all over the world. I'm not sure I've ever stayed in such a well though through and designed guest room - not always the case! Everything was in the right place. operating the lights and electrics didn't require a spreadsheet [!] and there were really lovely touches such as the very neat foldaway ironing board to name but one. Elsewhere, the room was so welcoming and comfortable and the staff couldn't have been more charming and helpful.

Great fantastic hotel ... Amazing service and is super clean. Location is superb and very central. Appointed very well on the luxury end. Staff is really nice remember you when you come in. Bathrooms and Beds are very nice.

Superbly designed hotel right in the centre of Calgary. Excellent staff who were professional and helpful at all times. The room was really large, well appointed and modern. The bathroom was huge and everything was of the highest quality. Value for money was excellent, this was a bargain for the price we paid. Lots of eating places nearby and close to the tower etc. All in all an excellent stay.

Way more to do in downtown Calgary than I thought. Has a great central location close to restaurants and plenty of shopping. The hotel is modern, staff is polite and attentive and I’d happily stay here again if given the chance.
