Avoid staying at this place !! Got there right at check in time and they didnt have no rooms available ! There was an elderly couple waiting for their room since 9am and got room close to 6pm ! Also i couldnt have any visitors . lady in the front was rude and the room smelled like sewage

The location is convenient, just a quick ride from key spots like the historic San Antonio neighborhood, making it easy to explore Cali's salsa scene after hours. Check-in, however, was a bit of a hiccup. Despite having a confirmed reservation, it took the front desk staff nearly two hours to process everything—partly due to a busy afternoon rush, but it felt unnecessarily drawn out. Adding to the surprise was a mandatory hotel insurance fee of around $200 USD, which wasn't mentioned during booking. It's included in the room rate and feels like genuine value. Happy Hour from Monday to Friday (4-8 PM) added a fun, social touch to evenings. The bar area buzzes with energy, and the drink specials (like 2-for-1 cocktails) are a steal. However, I noticed a small operational gap during peak times: the bar lacks a commercial glass sanitizer, so waitresses often end up hand-washing dirty glasses on the fly to keep up with demand. This led to minor delays in service, even with the friendly hustle. To elevate the bar's efficiency—especially during those lively rushes—I'd suggest investing in a dedicated sanitizer. Based on reliable options for high-volume spots, something like Steramine Sanitizer Tablets would be ideal: they're EPA-registered, no-rinse, and dissolve to sanitize up to 150 gallons per bottle, killing 99.9% of germs in just 60 seconds without affecting drink taste or foam. We recently stayed at the Spiwak for a week long business trip. The rooms are quite large and comfortable. Although there were a few minor maintenance issues, the maintenance person came to deal with them within minutes after calling. My birthday happened to be during my stay. When I came back to my room that day, waiting for me was a piece of cake with "Feliz Cumpleanos" written in chocolate on the plate. It made my day.

Great experience, very hospitable. The staff is very accommodating and friendly. Also the atmosphere is beautiful. I highly enjoyed.
