I booked a room months ahead, excited to celebrate my anniversary. This was the first time I stayed at this hotel. The location is perfect and makes all of the restaurants that we enjoy visiting, very walkable. We did have a little problem and needed some extra care. I was very impressed with how the manager, Matt Shimetz, helped us out. He ensured that we will visit again. Thanks, Matt

Stayed here thinking it was a cute boutique hotel in downtown Calistoga, however, upon arriving to the hotel, and given our room key, we discovered that this was not worth the value. We had requested a queen mattress and, upon looking at the bed, it was clearly a full mattress at best. I took it upon myself to look at the tags for the sheets, and came to discover that the mattress protector was way bigger than the actual mattress itself thus proving it was not the right size for the bed. The concierge tried to convince us that the bed just looked smaller because the room is small (not wrong the room was tiny), but by that logic, if the room was small, wouldn’t the bed look bigger? The mattress was completely sunken in the middle and woke up with aching backs. I would definitely not recommend this hotel, if my life dependent on it. Furthermore, looking around the room There were serious, dents, scrapes, and poor upkeep of the room by hotel management. Best, this was a five star experience and a Third World country.

We loved the size of the room overlooking Lincoln, relaxing on the patio with a cocktail was wonderful. The bed was especially cozy with down pillows and topper. We loved the pool and hot springs spa. It was very comfortable and plenty of space. The sat night outdoor movie was a real treat.

The advance check in arrangements were very good, so were the staff and the pool area. Everything else was poor. Our room was small and austere with terrible lighting. Worse still our ground floor room was next to an alleyway that became a café with music in the evening and a conduit for maintenance workers during the day, any which could have looked straight into our room. The complimentary breakfast delivered to our room was not a compliment at all. It was, frankly, pathetic, just beverages and pieces of cake. We were glad that we were only staying one night and will not return.

SO loud. Backs up to an outdoor bar with a really bad band. You cannot sleep. Not spa-like at all since there was no way to relax. Third time staying in Calistoga and by far the worst experience we've had. Front desk did not seem to be surprised at our complaint. Don't stay in 205.
