Reviews for Solage, Auberge Resorts Collection

One of the BEST experiences in 28+ years of Travel

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 2 days ago

About thirteen years ago, I was pregnant with my second-born, and I was in a wedding in Napa. As you can imagine, not too much to do for a pregnant lady, but we spent time exploring the area and fell in love with Calistoga and Solage. We always meant to come back for a proper stay, but life happens, and everyone gets too busy with other priorities. Well, we finally made it a proper destination as we penciled out a college tour for my daughter. I was a tiny bit worried that the dream would not meet our expectations given how much time had gone by, but needless to say, the entire stay exceeded our expectations, and we ALL cannot wait to come back and place it on our regular vacation circuit! We also can't underscore enough how fantastic and instrumental Nayeli was to making our stay perfect, start to finish! Nayeli was an absolute star. To begin with, she facilitated one of the best and personalized arrival and check in experiences we have had in travel. I have all sorts of status and lifetime perks with other properties but she really went above and beyond and made us feel so welcome and important. We just had a couple of days to truly spend some family time, and her efforts made magic happen and truly allowed us to enjoy our stay and relax. The entire family agreed that the Solage was the winner of the entire trip despite staying at other elevated properties in Newport Beach, LA, and Half Moon Bay on this trip. I should also note that on our way out, she gently redirected our vineyard choice and connected us with an absolutely wonderful and personal experience at a private family estate. We were extra grateful for her redirection, given that it was the only tasting we had time to attend, and it was our kiddos’ first! Our room was perfect. The amount of space and the willingness to be creative with the kids’ sleeping arrangements was truly appreciated. I was convinced that they liked a larger bed to share, but it turns out they prefer the rollaway/sofa combo. I have to mention the hot tub because my son could have spent the entire stay in that spot. The turn down service was lovely and we all enjoyed the private outdoor space very much; we just probably should have called to figure out how to turn on the outdoor lights! There was a nice range in selection and the quality and selection were spot on. We just which we could have stayed longer to sample all the culinary options on property. The only sub-par experience was the bike availability and condition, I would try to see if they could reserve some bikes ahead of time of your heart is set on a family bike ride. Loved the easy text check-out and the equally warm departure on the way out as it was on the way in! And like I noted, Nayeli hooked up an amazing tasting experience on the way out, and it really made such a difference in our ability to truly make the most memorable time of our limited time together as a family.

The service was warm and friendly, they anticipated all our needs before we knew we needed anything! The food and beverage team and food creativity was wonderful and a 10/10! We will be back! Thank you to everyone who made our short stay so memorable.

Just what we needed

An amazing way to bliss out and relax. The property is beautiful and pools are amazing. Rooms are generous in size with a lovely outdoor space. Food enjoyed at both restaurants is delicious. Having access to enjoy a G wagon was a nice treat.

Absolute perfection

Our recent 5-nite stay exceeded all expectations. The grounds are a showcase, the studios immaculately clean and comfortable, and the multiple pools were a daily ritual. Even though the resort was at full capacity, once entering our room, we were surrounded by peace and quiet. It's rare to say nothing needs improvement here, clearly the management and staff are on top of their game.
