We stayed several days mid-week in September, two adults and a dog in the Fireside Garden Terrace cabin. It was perfect for us to go outside and have a little private area, we used the fire pit pretty much every night and even ate outside one night. It was very tranquil and relaxing, we never heard anyone else really, even though the spa area was right behind us. Check in was a breeze, we received welcome drinks, as well as a chilled bottle of wine in our room. The property is incredibly dog friendly, they are allowed almost everywhere, and they even have dog beds and bowls, just in case you didn’t want to bring your own. Housekeeping comes once a day and then there’s a turn down service at night, where they bring fresh waters to the room. The spa is honestly the entire reason we booked here. To my great surprise it was never crowded, maybe because we came mid week? In any case, there is a steam room, a magnesium dip, two hot tubs, a normal pool and infrared sauna. This was so relaxing, I could have spent forever there. They have a courtesy driver if you are going somewhere in the town of Calistoga itself, which we didn’t use but sounds like a nice amenity to have. Then they have a fleet of Mercedes to borrow, I don’t know how often those are used, but definitely not anything we’d be interested in, as we brought our own car. We had one dinner, one lunch and one breakfast at the Solbar. Dinner was fantastic, breakfast strangely they did not have good coffee - or really any choices at all, I would think at the very least a latte would be somewhere on the menu? And lunch was two burgers and a cup of soap (no drinks) for $95. It was ok. We were celebrating a birthday so we did the Starlight at the Bathhouse” one evening, did we love it? Yes. Was it worth the price? Well, maybe. First you go into a room and rub mud on yourself, then another room to immerse yourself in a hot tub with minerals, and finally a massage chair. Afterwards you get the spa area to yourself for maybe an hour/hour and a half. Wine and some snacks are brought out, as well as dessert. It was a unique experience but at the price (1400) also a one and done type experience. The gift mentioned online was body wash and a miniature chocolate bar. I don’t know why but I was thinking (maybe wishing) it was more along the lines of one of their robes or maybe some slippers etc. Would definitely return but maybe in the off season!

We had the most wonderful time at Solage for the beginning of our honeymoon journey! The service was phenomenal, beyond compare. We really enjoyed having access to the text concierge, which was extremely helpful. The room we stayed in was also one of the nicest rooms we've stayed in at any 5-star location. We will look forward to our next visit and will definitely stay here for a Napa adventure. We also did the Calistoga bike tour with a Vintner and it was a wonderful and educational experience. 11/10 honeymoon experience!
