Breakfast was really nice. Lots of fresh fruit, eggs and pastries. It was worth getting up for. It took over 4 hours for us to check into our room as the cleaners hadn’t finished. This was frustrating as the reception kept saying 10 minutes! Rooms were nice and beds comfortable however there isn’t much privacy around the shower and toilet. It was just a glass sheild with a strip of frosted glass. There was quite a bit of mould around the shower and we found some silver fish on top of bedroom furniture. The restaurant near the ocean was beautiful but staff quite rude when an extra person joined us. It could have been a communication issue. I had a gorgeous massage in the spa and would recommend it to anyone. The air conditioning was not cold enough in our hotel room and the lobby didn’t have any at all. Cocktails and ice coffee at the bar was nice. We even enjoyed a Mallorca tasting experience. Location was very good and we were right next to Nikki Beach which is where we wanted to visit. It was difficult to find a sun bed and we witnessed quite a few arguments over them during our stay.

Stayed 31 July – 10 August, and if frustration was a holiday theme, this hotel would win awards. *Sunbeds: By 8am, every single bed “reserved” with towels. No staff enforcement, so your only chance is to wake up at dawn or steal a towel’s identity. Only ~20% have umbrellas – perfect if you enjoy slow-cooking your children in the midday sun. Even the kids’ pool was colonised by sunbed-hogging adults. Hotel beach beds? Same price for guests as random strangers off the street. *Kids Club: 2 hours a day (10:30–12:30). Blink and it’s over. *Kids Shows: Magic and circus shows start at 21:30 – so either your kids stay up until 23:00 or you explain in the morning why they missed the disappearing rabbit and the guy juggling knives. *Cleanliness: Mold in the bathroom and curtains that look like they fought a long war. And lost. *The Level “Experience”: We were offered an upgrade for €50 per guest — but after promising to “get us a better quote,” the staff member vanished like a magician’s assistant. *Facilities: Elevator often out of service, and even when working, you first had to climb a set of stairs to get to it – a joy for anyone with a stroller or heavy luggage. Consider it their way of giving you a free leg day. *Service: Asked three times to meet the general manager – never happened. We did get one free beach bed for one day of our 10-day stay. Incredible generosity. * Final straw: Guest experience manager asked about our stay, then tried to sell us a €4,300 membership. Because nothing says “guest care” like a hard sales pitch after ignoring your complaints. If you like overpaying for under-delivery and think of sunbeds as mythical creatures you’ll never see in the wild, this is the place for you. We’ll be holidaying elsewhere.

Had a decent stay overall - good location near shops and restaurants, modern outdoor areas. However, be prepared for excessive extra charges: - Parking: €30/day (some free spots nearby if you're lucky) - Beach sun beds: €25 per bed - absolutely ridiculous pricing Room was adequate size but bathroom layout is cramped with everything squeezed together. The "Level" subscription at €45/person/day for VIP perks isn't worth it. Beach is very close which is convenient but honestly with these outrageous sun bed prices and parking fees, I'd recommend looking at other options in the area. There are for sure better value hotels that won't nickel and dime you for basic amenities.

You will be expecting this review I'm sure following 3 days of stand-off with your FOH staff last week. Arrived, room not ready, returned 4 times then allocated 101. Views are of the aircon ducts & restaurant roof only. Cut the palm leaves back that overhang the balcony and there may be a distant view off to one side?? Day 2 – Hospitality staff rude & aggressive towards my wife, in her words felt ‘humiliated’ in restaurant on one occasion, complained to reception but there was little interest in addressing the matter 3 days of negotiation with reception staff over room change - we requested a meeting with Rooms Manager, Hotel Manager (or anyone!) re change of room, change of Hotel etc but no one no one took the concern seriously ”sorry, cant help, we’re fully booked” – you were not fully booked as South Beach, Calvia & InnSide each had a selection of rooms available on Melia’s own website for the remainder of the stay. There is no visible management of the hotel leaving the FOH to fend off the endless requests by guests for room changes. Manager was 'never at the hotel' on the 3 days of our complaint. Simply appalling. 3rd Melia experience in Spain, will not return to the Melia brand any time soon. Sorry its so damning but so was our service for 7 nights in a €400+ room per night.

This Melia is a disappointment. Our room was on the first floor with seaview, but the deck of the restaurant with the aircon pipes and lot of cigarette butts is deciduous. It’s poorly equipped and not well maintained. The housekeeper starts knocking after 8 am and wants to allocates time when to come in. Breakfast was fine, rich choice. Kitchen is really simple and sometimes just bad. The medium rare beef entrecote was a shoe sole, absolutely inedible, the tiramisu was also a fake, iced something. At the pool if you don’t go at 8 am you don’t get any sunbeds, all is full, reserved. There’s also not so much possibility for this big hotel and so much guests. At the sea as a melia guest you have to pay for the own sunbeds, 25€/day. The staff is uninterested, always in chaos. Cleaning in all areas is also poor. Price value not worth it.
