Dinner, Regattabar Show(the amazingly talented Melissa Errico) and an overnight stay-all perfection! Would highly recommend and we look forward to this again. :) :) :)

A home away from home! Everything is perfect here, from the moment you enter until you leave. my favorite place to stay in the Boston area!

Comfortable bed, quiet HVAC, and helpful staff made my weekend visit here perfect. The hotel and room were clean and everything was in good working order. Be sure to check out Henrietta's Tale and the spa! Tea drinkers, be warned. Like most USA hotels that have coffee makers in the room, you can't use this tgo make tea, otherwise you'll end up with coffee flavored tea. I solve this by bringing my own travel electric kettle.

I am posting this review regarding my stay at The Charles Hotel in September 2025. During my stay, I slipped on wet steps, lost my footing, and fell violently into a glass door, sustaining injuries to my right hip. 4 months later I am still receiving Orthopedic treatment for my hip. The steps were unsafe, and the conditions directly caused my fall. Instead of taking responsibility for or showing concern for my injuries, The Charles Hotel turned their back on me and referred the matter entirely to their insurance company. The insurance company subsequently denied my claim, stating that because I was the only person who fell and no one else had reported issues with the steps, the incident was essentially my fault. I find this response unacceptable and dismissive of guest safety and accountability. Being the only person injured does not negate the existence of a hazardous condition. Based on my experience, I do not endorse The Charles Hotel and do not recommend staying there. Mike S.

This property is first-class all the way. The lobby is very chic, yet inviting, and smells amazing. The staff are very well trained, professional, and friendly. Honestly, you feel it from the moment you arrive. The valet was extremely helpful with both my luggage and car. The front desk staff is five-star, and my room was immaculate and impeccably decorated. I'm so glad I chose this hotel and will definitely return when I am back in Cambridge.
