Go to place in Cambridge. Been coming here for over 30 years and they have done a great job staying relevant and the best that Cambridge has to offer

Great location, rooms need a refresh
The location is great for exploring Cambridge and Harvard. I stayed here a number of years back but it has become a bit dated. The rooms are a bit dated and the bed was not that comfortable. There is no mini bar or water- you have to ask for water at the front desk. They do have a pantry in the lobby for snacks and soda. Henriettas was great for lunch, and Bar Enza was a wonderful dinner experience.

It's the total package...great food for breakfast and dinner at Henrietta's Table, beautiful and comfortable room, and evening jazz entertainment at the RegattaBar

It was a great experience at the Charles Hotel. Great location, great decor, comfortable beds. I would highly recommend.

Havard Square Classic - sadly tired and overpriced
The Charles is a Harvard Square classic and was the crown jewel of the Square when it opened. These days, it's a little worn and outdated. The location and staff are great, The rooms are OK. If the rate was $300-ish, it would be fine. But it's currently $500+, which just felt to me like it was significantly overpriced for the experience.
