I needed to find a last minute hotel on August 31st into September 1st due to an issue at work. Royal Sonesta was incredibly well priced, immediately confirmed my reservation and had parking on-sight. All that alone had me so happy at the end of a VERY long day (and gearing up for another one the next day). THEN - I get to the concierge. I was met by literally most wonderful gentleman, Calvin. Calvin got me checked in, gave me a cold bottle of water, showed me the beautiful pool, explained all the amenities and was just such a gem. 11/10 stars for Calvin. Inside, the whole building and atmosphere was exactly what I needed! Amazing view overlooking the Charles River. I almost forgot I work in Boston 4 days a week because I was taking photos like a tourist! The room was impeccably cleaned, very well laid out, had fun decor, a fantastic bed & pillows, great shower pressure and even the cutest mini toothpaste! I slept like a baby - no outside noise whatsoever. All in all, amazing experience at the Royal Sonesta Boston/Cambridge. Don't hesitate when you need a good night's rest.

Good hotel between downtown and Fenway. Great river views and nice restaurant inside. The gym is nice , as well as the pool.

The hotel allowed loud partying every night we were here, ruined our vacation. The management wouldn’t adjust our bill at all. Not near any decent restaurants. Lots for young kids to do. The hotel is dated and depressing. The carpet is old, the hallways aren’t lit well. I’ll never come back and you shouldn’t either.

Beautiful hotel, great location, comfortable beds, friendly staff and tasty breakfast. Only complaint is that I paid before arrival and, despite being told on arrival, and departure, that there were no outstanding charges, I have been charged full amount again since checking out. Having difficulty getting in touch, have now referred it to card company

Royal Sonesta is a nice hotel with adequate size rooms, comfortable beds, excellent shower power and a convenient Starbucks in the lobby. The location is really nice for walking along the Charles River but you often need a short Uber ride to go over Longfellow Bridge to visit major attractions within a mile or two of the hotel. We had a lovely river view but please be advised that you cannot see the July 4th fireworks from your window, although the internet will tell you otherwise. We were told that the location of the fireworks have moved in recent years so you need to walk less than a mile along the river to get a good view, which was spectacular. For those with mobility issues, please know that there are no grab bars for exiting the bath tub. For the best breakfast go to nearby Cafe Luna's!
