A sweet experience
5 out of 5. We went to the sweet spot for valentines day. What a nice and intimate setting. The desserts were all amazing! Anders was our server and he was terrific. He provided us entertainment with his beautiful voice and was so knowledgeable about all the food and drinks. A fun night!

Mixed bag
The Lake House is a very nice hotel, but it’s a mixed bag. The value is good for a winter getaway, but there isn’t much to do in the town. I can see how it would be better in the summer. We did the sauna ritual overlooking the lake and spent some time in the hot tub which were both nice. The food was good in the Rose Tavern, and we liked the library bar. The shower pressure was insane. The balcony would have been great to sit on in the summer. I really wish I had read the reviews here before booking about the noisy rooms. The rooms don’t even have rugs in them which I think could help a ton. Luckily we were on the top floor but I could still hear footsteps from other rooms. Luckily we had pretty quiet neighbors and couldn’t hear their convos. I’m pretty sensitive to noise and we travel with a sound machine, but I still didn’t sleep well. I was tipped off when they left sleep masks and earplugs in our room the first night. Carpet, rugs, these things will help greatly, Lake House. Not to mention that it’s really uncomfortable to get on a hard floor to stretch in the morning. Overall, if you’re looking for a peaceful winter getaway in the finger lakes, spend a little more and go to Mirbeau. No kids, quiet, carpeted rooms with fireplaces, a spa you could spend the whole day in, and a town with a lot more to do.

Awesome bartender!
Mikey P is a very talented, creative and personable Bartender at the Lake House Rose Tavern. He not only made us one of the best cocktails we ever had, but educated us on the process with his impressive knowledge. It was a fun and memorable afternoon on a frigid day, made better thanks to Mikey!

Beautiful place and thoughtful staff!
This place is so beautiful and the staff is amazing. Anders was our server at Rose Tavern he went above and beyond!! He is so thoughtful and knowledgeable. It was such a lovely experience! we also met the manager Jim while walking to our building and he was so kind and made us feel so welcome. He comped some drinks for us at dinner too, which was such a thoughtful gesture! We would love to come back
