Another lovely stay at Vincci La Plantation

This is the second time we have stayed at this hotel. We booked the same room type - Solarium Villa which we really enjoyed especially the jacuzzi. These rooms are quiet & all have sea views. Large bedroom & bathroom with a separate dressing room with plenty of hangers, drawers & shelves. The bed was very comfortable and they have a choice of pillows which is good. The buffet breakfast is fantastic. So much choice and good quality, choice of any coffee you can think of which the servers bring promptly. We tried the buffet for dinner on the first night which was good but we usually prefer to eat elsewhere for dinner if we have had breakfast there. They have live music in the evening which you can hear if you are dining outside at the buffet or having drinks in the nearby bar. The Italian restaurant was new for us this year & we ate there twice. The food was delicious. Mainly pizza& pasta, the menu was not huge but what we ate was excellent. The adults only pool which we sat round is heated & very nice. They had aqua aerobics every morning around Midday which we didn’t participate in but looked like fun. There is waiter service round the pool which we used every day. Overall a very nice hotel which I would recommend. It has a lovely chilled vibe and the staff are extremely helpful. The only issue we had was there was a wedding one day and they set up tables round the adult pool thus making less room for guests & somewhat spoiling the day for us especially when we were given a note in the afternoon to say we had to vacate the area by 4.45 for the wedding!!

Wonderful, relaxing trip. Can’t wait to come back

Currently enjoying our last day at the hotel and we have had a fantastic time. Special thanks to all the staff. The staff at the kids club have been amazing. My 9 year old refuses to attend kids clubs but he was happy to spend hours in the Vinkey club. Monica, Ayora and Francesca were brilliant and the kids loved the activities including cookie making, waterslides and gaming tournaments. The hotel is starting to get busier this week. The hotel and the room are so luxurious. It’s in a great location with plenty of shops and restaurants a short taxi ride away. The only downside would be the lack of vegetarian options. We booked bed and breakfast and bought dinner vouchers for 4 nights, we opted to eat dinner out at the local beaches for the rest of the time which we enjoyed. Carlos, Jorge and team were amazing reception staff and extremely helpful in arranging beach transfers, trips to Siam Water Park and the Royal Delphin boat tour where we saw beautiful whales and dolphins, we did the 2 hour trip and had a fantastic time.

Make memories in an idyllic setting

Just returning from 8 nights last minute break at Vincci La Plantation. Myself, husband and 12 year old daughter. We have been to Adeje a few times but I’m rarely able to book in advance and my very favourite hotel was fully booked. We realised from the reviews that we would be slightly further from the main Adeje hub but in fairness that wouldn’t stop me booking again. Always a bit of a gamble but the reviews looked good and this looked the best of the options available. I must confess we are quite hard to please and the 5 star bar was set pretty high. We very much appreciated the consistently high level of service from every single staff member. Congratulations to the recruitment team on a job well done. Even the cleaners have a smile and a greeting - little things like this really do make a difference. The sprawling scope of the place is beautifully designed in a quintessential classic Spanish style. Understated elegance with some beautiful statement furniture pieces at every turn. The beauty of the place is underlined by the fact that despite being very busy, you somehow felt quite often that you had the place to yourself. An easy atmosphere to suit all ages and many lovely spacious areas to enjoy the building without feeling hemmed in by holidaymakers. For people craving a jam packed entertainment schedule, this hotel might seem a bit light on options. That said, we’ve enjoyed some great singers, musicians, Pilates classes and there were more options available if we wanted them. If a bit more of a lively atmosphere is your thing - you might want to head further into Adeje on an evening to find this. Relaxed and chilled is the vibe here which suited us down to the ground. Minimal queuing for meals was a welcome change to our last minute hotel back in February. Even though it would still be peak time we only had a bit of a queue at one breakfast sitting due to light rain closing off the outside dining area. The pools are cleverly designed - a decadently warm adults pool and various other options to keep little kids and big kids occupied. I’m quite a wimp when it comes to freezing pools but the larger pools here are really nice - very invigorating when the temperatures rise. Great poolside service and a few complimentary offerings- nice touch. The pool sunbeds are patrolled to discourage sunbed hogs - I felt they got the balance pretty spot on with this and it didn’t seem to be an issue although if the weather was good by midday the beds would be fully claimed (as you would expect). The rooms got a big tick from my husband - who deemed them to be superior to our usual first choice hotel. They are large and comfortable with a nice veranda and full size bath. Even an ingenious washing line which we only found when we were checking out! The games room with pool, air hockey, table football and a bike simulator was pretty good. Slight criticism- the air hockey table would benefit from an upgrade as it’s well used and a bit dated. The shower took a while to get warm but was lovely once it got going. We were not able to try the fish restaurant as it was closed but the buffet was pretty good - particularly breakfast. I’m a very average but committed morning runner- you are soon onto the Adeje promenade running strip and an easy ish 5k down to La Caleta and back. The big hill can be mastered in 2 mins at a steady pace from the El Mirador hotel to the top - I soon decided this was better as my cooldown walk off - although many fitter runners seemed to make very light work of it! This hotel will be a dream location to suit anyone who wants to make lovely memories in an idyllic location.

It’s a mixed bag ….

We normally stay at tivoli la caleta and thought we would try Vincci plantacion ( more expensive) . As you walk in the atmosphere feels dull and lifeless , hotel itself is very dark inside and soulless , no vibe at all . The breakfast buffet is really good and great food choices . atmosphere at breakfast was not chaotic (big plus ). outdoor sunbeds lovely and not a problem to get seated by the pool ( another plus ) .. the heated pool was fab . pool service good and drinks good. Good selection of non alcoholic options . Rooms are really nice but you need to like less modern and more old fashioned interiors . Great size though and facilities great . .Pools nice but but there was a wedding on one of our days around the heated pool which impacted the WHOLE day and the sunbeds were all squashed together within cm of each other . We were just looking onto an amass of white tables . Normally there is a dedicated wedding area in a hotel . We were told “ it’s only one day , go to a different pool “ which of course was not possible as this amount of space invasion means everybody scrambling for chairs elsewhere in the hotel . It was absolutely rammed . So many people also complaining and impacted . We got moved out of the pool area at 4.30pm for the wedding . We were only staying 5 nights so had an impact on one of our few days . The food and beverage manager was lovely , understood and just didn’t know what to say . So do check ahead of time how many weddings are on during your stay . Food at the pool restaurant was ok but honestly not great . it’s the only restaurant for lunch so limited choices . . Room service ok abut again limited to burgers pizzas and nachos and the likes . Healthy options so limited . . The Italian restaurant is just the pool restaurant with red table cloths at night for dinner .. A positive is that it’s well priced..Staff seemed nice and polite and helpful generally . The spa was nice but the two hours spa for €50 gives you only 30 minutes in the actual hot cold facilities .And then they come and knock on the door of the jacuzzi to get you out at 32 minutes something that would NEVER happen in a true five star . The trip to Adeje front is 10 mins downhill and then a steepish trip back . It was fine for us , worth keeping in mind if you don’t like that kind of uphill walk . The positive is that you get more good views down onto Adeje from your room and a good workout . Overall this hotel is good in some parts but was a disappointing stay for all the reasons above .

Great week away

We are just leaving after a glorious week at the hotel. We really enjoyed the location, hotel, facilities and the staff could not have been more helpful or professional. We travelled with our 7year old child and this is the first children’s club she stayed solo and asked to go back daily. The range of activities were excellent and bookings were not formal so could turn up when it suited. This was great as I didn’t want to more planning on holiday. But most importantly the staff at the children’s club were excellent - fun, full of energy and so great will the children. Thank you to Ayora,Lily, Francesca and Monica so making the week so fun for my daughter. So many great memories made. The pool staff were also great and always on hand to take food and drinks orders. Holiday lazy mode def activated! Great choice of pools and a number of others are heated to a great temp. We booked junior suite which had lots of room and great views. Spent many afternoons on the longest soaking up Some more sun. Finally the restaurant staff were excellent, always on hand to help and generally great. Thanks - we hope to return soon.
