Great family friendly resort in the hotel zone. About a 25 minute ride from the airport. Most of the restaurants are decent. Lots of pools, great beach, kids club was great. Themed entertainment is also great. It’s a good resort for families. A touch of upselling here and there but that started in the airport, so not unique to this property. We had a great time

Stayed at the dreams Sands Cancun for 6 days 5 nights . The dooms are spacious and clean, housekeeping does a good job. There are signs of age but still acceptable overa. Eduardo Rizo assistant manager was a great help to us and personally ensured we got a reservation for hibachi. We are very grateful to him he made our stay a dream and he definitely provided personalized service. Jayden from the entertainment team was also incredible and brough fun and excitement to the pool area. Also on the enterainment team was Angie she also made the days so fun. Carlos the chef from Japanese restaurant was also incredible and the food was good, slightly salty but that's the soy sauce. Overall I was happy with my stay and would definitely come again.

We just returned from an amazing week at Dreams Sands. The whole experience was just great. The location of the resort is great, you can easily walk to local stores. The room was comfy. The specialty restaurants were great, specially the hibachi one. The service was top notch at all restaurants, including the buffet! My kiddo has severe food allergies and every single chef, waiter, and captain we encountered were super helpful. Special thanks to the amazing Chef Carlos from World Cafe who spoiled my kiddo making her special breakfast and lunch! Also, chef Rodolfo and captain Federico were amazing! The entertainment team, Maria, Jaden, Michelle, Omar, Alexander, Eric, Carlos, etc, kept us all busy with amazing games, Yoga/Stretching (Molly) , volleyball, Zumba, and crafts! There was a show/event every night by the pool and sometimes during the day there were some shows as well. The staff went above and beyond to make sure everyone was having a great time! The bartenders were great too, specially Misael and Elmer. They made sure to clean the blender before making smoothies for my allergic kiddo. The beach was beautiful. It has some small rocks/shells as you get in but once you suffer for bit, walking into the ocean, it gets sandy and its just beautiful, just like a sandbar. We didn't experience any sargassum while we were there. We have been to a lot of all inclusives, and I can sincerely say that the staff at this resort are the most welcoming, respectful, and attentive people we have ever met! Keep up the good work and hope to see you all next year!

I was going to give it 3 stars but I cant due to safety concerns on my last night. Overall experience was good, good food options although the Hotel isn't big. Got a king room with a balcony and au absolutely loved the view. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Fell in love with the service. What turned things around for me was that somebody was trying to get into my room at around 2am. The beep sound from the card reader woke me up ( I am a very light sleeper). I knew I had locked the door, turned the thumb turn lock (added pic) and the old school lock chain before going to bed. I assumed it was some other guest who was in the wrong floor but to my surprise the turn lock was unlocked and if it wasn't for the chain, whoever that was would have entered. Of course I alerted front desk, they said they sent security to the floor and all was clear, maybe that was a guest wandering around drunk. The thing is that there are only 2 possibilities here : 1- someone with a master key tried to get in 2- the card reader /smart lock is faulty. So solo traveling ladies, please be safe. Other things to take into consideration, not many pools available and of course sargassum. I was still happy until that incident. I cant say I will go back sorry.
