We just got back from Dreams Sands Cancun and overall had a great vacation. The first thing I want to mention is the staff because they truly made this trip special. Every single employee we encountered was friendly, welcoming, and worked incredibly hard, but a few deserve special recognition. Russell and Mauro at the Preferred Bar were absolutely outstanding. They quickly learned my name and that I don’t like sweet drinks and went out of their way to make cocktails that actually suited my taste while still feeling fun and tropical. Every drink was perfect, and they always greeted us with a smile. They were a big part of what made our vacation memorable. Pascal, who we usually saw at El Patio for breakfast and at the beach restaurant for lunch, was another standout. His service was exceptional, and we actually requested to sit in his section every day because he was that good. There was also a young hostess who worked at both El Patio and the beach restaurant. I feel terrible that I can’t remember her name because she deserves all the recognition in the world. She was kind, caring, and always made us feel genuinely welcome. She is an absolute gem. Another shoutout goes to the beach server, mostly in the Preferred section, who wore the bright orange shirt. I wish I remembered his name too. He had a permanent smile on his face, kept everyone’s energy up, and was always checking on guests. His positive attitude didn’t go unnoticed. Honestly, every staff member we interacted with provided excellent service with a smile. By the end of the week, it felt like we were surrounded by family. As for the resort itself, here’s my honest opinion. The beach was perfectly fine. Yes, there was some sargassum, but it was nowhere near as bad as some reviews make it sound. If you walk farther down the beach toward the private residences, you’ll quickly see the difference. Those areas don’t have the staff constantly cleaning the shoreline, and the amount of seaweed there really puts things into perspective. The Dreams Sands staff were out there working hard every day, and they deserve credit for that. Would I call it my favourite beach? No. I personally prefer long, wide beaches, and this one feels more cozy. But it was still enjoyable, and we never had trouble finding chairs, even coming down around 10:00 a.m. The main pool was a little too warm for our liking and doesn’t have much shade, but it’s fantastic for families because it’s shallow enough for kids to stand comfortably. We spent more time at the Preferred pool because it was slightly cooler and had some shaded areas. One tip: bring your own insulated cup with a lid. The waterfalls and younger kids playing in the pool mean a fair amount of pool water ends up splashing into open drinks. The food was good. Was it the best food I’ve ever had at an all inclusive? No. But I enjoyed every meal, always found something I liked, and judging by the number on my scale when I got home, I certainly wasn’t going hungry. The hotel itself could use a facelift, but nothing about its appearance affected our vacation. It was clean, comfortable, and everything worked as it should. The café was another favourite. They had plenty of hot and iced coffee options along with ice cream, which became a regular stop for us throughout the day. One hidden gem was the taco restaurant across the street, which I believe opens around 3:00 p.m. Definitely worth checking out if you’re staying here. Overall, we had a wonderful vacation. If you’re looking for a luxury, ultra-modern resort, this may not be it. But if you value genuinely caring staff, a good location, a good vibe and amazing service, Dreams Sands delivers. The people working there are what truly make this resort special.

Our stay at this resort was nothing short of amazing! The property is absolutely beautiful, the staff is incredibly welcoming, and every detail made us feel relaxed and cared for from the moment we arrived. The highlight of our trip was Isaac. He truly went above and beyond to make our stay special. He treated us like family, always checking in to make sure we had everything we needed and making us feel so welcome. One moment that we’ll never forget was when my husband mentioned how much he liked Isaac’s Mexico soccer jersey and wished he had one. The same day, Isaac went and picked one up for my husband. It was such an unexpected and thoughtful gesture that meant so much to us. It perfectly reflects the genuine kindness and generosity of the people here. And the day we were leaving he gave him an Argentina jersey as a gift! It’s rare to find service that feels so personal and heartfelt. Isaac turned an already wonderful vacation into one we’ll remember forever. We can’t recommend this resort enough and can’t wait to come back. Thank you for such an unforgettable experience!

We stayed 7 days at Dreams Sands Cancun, this was our 3rd time staying there. We keep coming back because we love the location, the beach and the hotel staff. We weren’t able to access the beach this time due to the seaweed but enjoyed the preferred pool. The hotel staff are always so friendly and helpful. The food at all the restaurants is good especially the Japanese restaurant. I’m sure we will return to Dreams Sands Cancun again.

We had a party of 11 of us, visiting Dreams Sands for the 6th time in 5 years. We will NEVER go back again. The hotel insisted on charging the group $250 per night in order to sit us all together as a group, to celebrate my wife's 50th Birthday. We booked Dreams Sands as we had LOVED the hotel on previous occasions, but NEVER come here with a large group, if you wish to sit together for dinner, without having to pay an extortionate amount of money to do so. Poor show, Dreams Sands... Very Poor Show!

We stayed here from June 26 to July 4, and our experience was wonderful. The hotel is very family‑friendly — the beach is calm, shallow, and perfect for kids to play safely. I also appreciate that the restaurants don’t require reservations; everything is first‑come, first‑served, which makes dining so much easier. Their buffet offers plenty of choices, and there’s also Olio near the beach along with a bar, giving you great options throughout the day. The customer service is excellent, especially the concierge, who is always attentive and ready to help with anything you need. The staff inside the buffet area and restaurants are all very helpful and welcoming, which made our stay even more enjoyable. We also ride taxi from the hotel to Playa Delfines is a 10-15min ride a must visit place too.
