Smaller resort but a great time

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 9 hours ago

For the price the resort was great. We spent 7 days there and we enjoyed every minute. My only issues were the lack of snacks for the in between meals, lots of sweets options but that was really it. We did go during peak sargassum season and we had 0 beach access during our stay. We know this was out of their control and they did do everything they could do to try and clean it up but it was an uphill battle. We did travel with children and they were of age for the explorers club but at 10 year old they were a little too old for the activities they had for them. I wish there were a little more for them to do on property such as a play ground or some older kid activities. All in all for the price we had an amazing time. The staff were incredible the entire time. I would recommend this place to someone for is looking for maybe 5 days.

This is only day two. Last night had to argue with the manager of the steak house so our family reunion (22) of us could sit at two tables of 8 and then let the teenagers have a table for themselves. Finally he did what we asked. 2h 45m later and dinner was served. Steak request med rare. Was served blue. When I asked they took the same steak and put it back on the grill. We walked out! Breakfast: we go to a restaurant that they say is all included. Nope have to be part of the preferred package with an upgrade fee of 375USD. The room. Flat bed room was dirty mini bar that they say is included was empty. This is only day 2

Not for solo travelers

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 17 hours ago

This resort is for families. Although you can upgrade to a preferred stay it doesn’t mean kids won’t be in your way lol. The beach was filled with seaweed which was very sad for me and my tour was cancelled to Isla Mujeres due to unforeseen circumstances. The staff is nice but I didn’t meet much solo travelers or people who would engage in conversation. As I said it is a family resort so it’s not what I expected. Kind of boring.

I highly recommend this resort. The food was delicious, shows were entertaining and pools were fun! The service here was nothing short of excellent. I hope to come back in the future.
