Dreams before hyatt had olio and grill so you can get something simple as a hamburger and fries.i was told at olio that it was only a 20 to 25 minutes wait.lol not true. How hard is it to have a grill by the pool. Amazing how the last owner always looked for customer service. If you don't have enough tables.you should be able to create more. Along the side are 3 tables not being used Maybe someone should look into why not! I'm here now and second day I wanted just a simple lunch.we have been to sands at least 15 times.i am here now. What a disappointment how much of the little things we appreciated is what made us come back.is so easily forgotten!

This was not up to a Dreams Resort standard. It’s a hotel rather than a resort and it’s very old and dated. Cleanliness was an issue as were the room, bed and bedding.

Was here in Feb loved it. Came back for a week for 50th anniversary, just got home. Was very nice to return. Dreams is doing reno to resort. Painting, new rooms, updating beach furniture, we do preferred and you tell them how you want your drink strong weak. Just tell them pour! No problem. They're good. Employees very nice and helpful. Food in specialty restaurants are good but meat is over cooked. They need help with that. Our favorites are Italian and the buffet! All desserts are pretty much the same. But it's Mexico. Some things are standard fare. Resort is very clean. We got a bottle of tequila for our room compliments of resort. Had a banner on our door. We got an ocean front balcony room on high floor. Elevators were all working. Pools are very nice. The huge square one in middle of resort is missing quite a few tiles on floor but no one was getting hurt or cut on them and it was the most crowded pool. People say they are getting cut on tiles. I think it's people just complaining and others jumping on the band wagon. We were in there often with no issues. I understand it's on the reno to do list. The beach is gorgeous. Shallow water for at least 500 feet. No to barely any waves. Resort is on backside of Cancun no crashing waves. Very safe. Bring your own floats they blow them up free. There is beach service for drinks and snacks and lunch. We got room service once it was fast and good. Go and enjoy. If you have difficulty walking this resort is very walkable it's small and everything is close. They're are 4 adult pools and 1 tiny one for toddlers. Preferred has their own concierge and lounge with nice furniture tv. Also has own bar with top shelf liquor and food on 1st floor. Everything else is on level L for lobby besides rooms which there are 10 floors.
