Dreams Sands Cancun

I watched a lot of reviews and was nervous about food and being geared towards you g families. I was pleasantly surprised. Breakfast buffet was very good. El Patio was very good especially the mahi mahi. Hibachi was also really good with exception of the steak a little chewy. Entertainment staff was really really good. Rooms were suitable but wish there was drawers to put stuff away to keep room neater.

I usually don’t leave bad reviews, but my experience at Dreams Cancun was extremely disappointing. I previously stayed at Dreams in Mazatlán and had an amazing experience, which is exactly why I chose Dreams again for this trip. Unfortunately, this location completely ruined it for me. The customer service was terrible from the beginning. Employees were rude, communication was poor, and nobody seemed to care about fixing issues. I paid extra for a balloon surprise setup in my room for my partner and even tipped very well for the service. When we went upstairs, the balloons were already popped and maintenance staff were cleaning everything up right in front of us. The surprise was completely ruined. What made it worse was the front desk showed no urgency, no apology, and offered absolutely nothing for the inconvenience. The food was also disappointing. At one point I ordered a salad and they literally brought out an entire head of romaine lettuce uncut. That pretty much summed up the effort and quality we experienced throughout the stay. This trip honestly ruined my Cancun experience for me. I expected so much more from a Dreams resort, especially after loving the Mazatlán location. Sadly, I would not return to this property or recommend it to others.

They are targeting black peoples and accusing them of smoking in the rooms while also sending security into there rooms to harass them and pin things on.

Please save the trouble and go to Dreams Natura if you are wanting a better experience and something close by. Valet damaged our car and failed to notify us, upgraded room was so cold, my family got sick, just terrible.

Dream Sands was a great place to stay! The staff are super friendly and out going trying to make your stay the best it can possibly be.
