Wonderful time! clear water no seaweed Aug 10th week. Shallow about 4 ft with sand bar. small waves.Beach is right there short walk. Bar not far.Great staff. Rooms have Tub with thick ledge and shower. Great AC and TV in room. All Marble. Food was wonderful. Good for a 35 plus age group , couples, seniors and families. Very little music and activities at pool. Need more lounge chairs around pool. Shopping area across street.Great for 6 nights or less. I will return.

Five stars service on the beach

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 2 days ago

During our time at Dream Sands, we were lucky enough to have Gerson taking care of us on the beach in the preferred club beach area. His service was nothing short of exceptional! He even went out of his way to get us Guacamole and chips! Every time we turned around he appeared with new drinks! What truly stood out was his genuine kindness and willingness to go above and beyond! Highly recommend asking for him if you visit!

One of the best beaches in Cancun, especially for families with young kids. Small resort, esey to get around. Great location for shopping outside of the resort. VERY clean with hardworking staff in every corner

Awesome Ocean to Enjoy

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 3 days ago

My wife and I have stayed it probably 35 different resorts throughout Cancun in the Riviera Maya. The ocean water at this resort was probably the very best that we’ve experienced very calm and very clear which made for a great experience. Bring a float or you will pay $25 or more at hotel. We went across street and to the left about 40 yards we paid $15 each. We knew ahead of time this an older Resort, but it was clean and had everything we needed. Like the majority of the other resorts, the food was decent, but very few all inclusive that we have been to have had exceptional food so we know that before we visit The service in just about every area was exceptional. On a negative note the main pool had a lot more tiles missing than what we had expected from reading other reviews. We were very surprised that they even allow people to swim because it could easily cut your feet which we saw happen. I’d also advise to upgrade to preferred if you want that option before you get there. We used Apple vacations and we could’ve chosen the preferred option for about $105 more per person. At check-in along with speaking to a manager who approached me separately, the best they would offer was $420 for the week so basically double the cost from what I could have paid with Apple vacations. Even though I showed them the cost they would not match. However we didn’t feel we missed out on anything. The preferred pool was cool, but was small and always seemed to be packed with kids. The beach area and service seemed the same. And I was never denied any alcohol option at any bars. One suggestion to the hotel -please make your upgraded wine and liquor options that are available by the bottle priced semi reasonable. Selling a $20 bottle of wine for $125-150 is not reasonable. Same with the liquor. $40 bottle of Don Julio for $150. Lower the prices and sales would probably triple. Also get some chairs and tables around outside bar to sit at night. In summary, we enjoyed our stay very much for the $2500 total we paid with apple vacations that also included flight.
