Nestled along the beach in Cancun's hotel zone, the JW Marriott Cancun Resort & Spa constitutes a quiet refined oasis among the surrounding din. Elegant details set the resort apart from its peers. A delicate flower scent permeates the welcoming lobby and guests can frolic around four outdoor swimming pools. The infinity-edged main pool threads through the landscaped grounds and fronts the pristine powdery sand. Jump the diving pool's deep end and explore the built-in artificial reef. Dotted with beach chaise loungers and shady palapas, the 700-foot beach beckons to linger. The cerulean ocean is the resort's ubiquitous backdrop and all 448 rooms have private balconies where to take in the view. Appointed in classic style, roomy accommodations (the smallest measures 465 square feet) feature sitting areas with lively color accents, wireless Internet access, 32-inch flat-panel televisions and twice-daily maid service. Bathrooms are exquisitely marble-bedecked with separate tubs and showers.

We recently stayed at this motel for five days. The view was beautiful, and the property itself was very nice. We truly enjoyed the scenery and many aspects of our stay. However, there were several issues that affected our experience. While tipping is common and appreciated, at times we felt uncomfortable because some employees seemed overly focused on receiving tips. One situation that stood out was at the pool, where an employee stood nearby watching us for an extended period of time without appearing to be working, which made us feel uncomfortable. We also noticed that our room only had a half-used box of tissues when we arrived, and it ran out by the second day. Small details like this should be addressed to improve guest comfort. Another disappointment was the cost of food. Considering the price of the stay, we believe breakfast should have been included. The breakfast prices were very high, and many items throughout the property seemed significantly overpriced. In addition, some areas of the motel were not as clean as we expected. Overall, while the location and views were wonderful, improvements in customer service, cleanliness, room supplies, and pricing would make the experience much better for future guests

My wife and I traveled to the JW Marriott Cancun to celebrate our birthdays and an anniversary. The property was beautiful and well maintained. The staff was even better. Naming a few - Gustavo, Gustav, Hidalgo, Jorge, Stefan, Beatrice, Eliza, Juan, Viktor, Julio and Aluaro. The hospitality was Workd Class. We have scheduled to go back next year and can’t wait.
