This was our fourth year staying at the JW Marriott Cancún, and it just keeps getting better every time. From the moment we arrive, we’re welcomed with warmth, attention to detail, and a level of luxury that’s hard to match. Club 91 continues to be the highlight of our trip. The food was spectacular—fresh, beautifully prepared, and consistently delicious. The desserts were true works of art, and the iced coffee was a perfect. This year, we also tried two new cocktails—the mango margarita and the St. Germain margarita—and both were incredible. The craft and presentation were next-level. A huge thank you to our Club 91 family—Marco, Ana, Franco, Krystal, Eduardo, and the rest of the amazing team. They never miss a detail and always make us feel right at home. Our oceanfront suite offered absolutely stunning views of the Caribbean, a daily reminder that we were in paradise. And we can’t forget the poolside service—the staff were attentive, friendly, fun, and made sure we had everything we needed, from food to drinks, without ever having to leave our lounge chairs. After four years, JW Marriott Cancún truly feels like our home away from home. We can’t recommend it enough and we’re already counting down the days until our next visit! #JWMarriottCancun #JWCancun

This hotel is nice, but it is not elegant. The lobby looks impressive and gives a luxurious first impression, but the rooms do not match that level. I’ve stayed at many Marriott hotels around the world, and this one felt very average. The rooms seem dated. for the price, the experience was not worth it. At checkout, a large amount of resort fees and taxes were added, even though my room was prepaid. The extra charges were almost as much as the room rate itself, which made the stay feel overpriced and disappointing. Overall, this hotel did not meet my expectations for a Marriott. It lacked elegance, the food was below standard, and the value was poor compared to what I paid. Also end of August that I stayed there was construction going on at the hotel so you will hear the construction noises.

We stayed at the JW Marriott Cancun (Aug 11–18, 2025, 2 rooms, booked via Amex Fine Hotels & Resorts) and had one of the worst experiences of our lives. Day 1: Dinner at Bravío (the main restaurant downstairs) left my wife violently ill overnight. Day 2: She required an in-room doctor, injections, and medication (we paid $455 USD). Day 5: Room-service quesadillas arrived with melted plastic cooked into the food. That evening, both my wife and daughter became sick. We lost two full days confined to the room, unable to use the beach or pool, and had to order Uber Eats for the remainder of the stay because we no longer trusted the hotel’s food. When I asked to speak directly with the General Manager, Christopher Calabrese, my request was denied. I was told he was unavailable, and only the front desk manager would speak with me. At a 5-star property, this is unacceptable. For a hotel marketed through Amex FHR as a premium luxury experience, what we received was unsafe, unfit, and dismissive. I will never return to this property and strongly urge Marriott Corporate to review how this situation was handled.

We have only been here a few hours and so blown away by the service at this hotel that I felt the need to write a review right away. From the moment we entered the hotel every interaction has been top notch. Sebastian on check in was so welcoming and wonderful. We decided to have a late lunch at the pool and our server Benjamin was amazing as they were getting close to closing he didn’t rush us which we appreciated. The room is beautiful and clean and so far the food and drinks have been 10/10
