The staff are very hard working and hospitable. The hotel is generally clean. However, the hotel is VERY out of Date. It feels like 2005 and many parts of the hotel are in run down condition, paint peeling other weather damage on the outside. The food was average at best and VERY over priced even for a 4 start hotel in Cancun. The worst part Cancun IS NOT SAFE FOR AMERICANS AND OTHERS. The local cops set up a check point about 3 miles from the hotel, they stop all rental cars and make up charges threatening to take your license if you do not pay them 3,000 Peso. I would never return to this hotel or Cancun. They have to get their act together. Not to mention the Hotel District does not feel like real mexico. Too removed from the local culture. And the main Cancun town is run down and offers little to see or do for tourists. The Pacific Side of Mexico is much better

This was our 5th time at Kempinkski Cancun. It is the best. We love everything about it. The views, the rooms, the pool and the over the top great staff.

One of the best hotels we have stayed in. You can tell it was a Ritz and there is nothing missing. I have stayed at about a half dozen different Ritz hotels and the service and amenities rival those locations. Service and dining (especially the Mediterranean restaurant) are five stars. It was not crowded when we were there so no issues with beach or pool loungers nor dining without reservations.

The Kempinski Cancun is an outstanding hotel. We stayed at the property back in 2022 when it was a Ritz Carlton, and it has maintained the same high level of luxury and service as part of the Kempinski brand. We stayed for 7 days in late February and stayed on the property the whole time. While the concierge team kindly offered to schedule excursions, we opted to just relax on the beach. The beach is one of the most beautiful in all of the Caribbean. While there was a lot of seaweed that washed up on the beach, there was a tractor that came by 3-4 times a day to sweep up the seaweed so it was not a problem for the guests. We were spoiled by our server, Catalino, on the beach. He always made sure we had drinks and food, and embedded even worked with the restaurant to bring us a few really delicious, local recipes for lunch. We ate at all the restaurants on site and they were all wonderful with high quality food and service. Alvero at Fontina was exceptionally helpful with recommendations for food and wine pairings. The buffet breakfasts are delicious and not to be missed. I highly recommend the Motuleno eggs, a local specialty, and the tacos from the buffet were freshly made to order. The fruit was super fresh and everything else was full of flavor. The room balconies face the ocean and were a nice place to relax. We appreciated the efficient housekeeping service both during the day and for turndown service. Janett did a great job keeping our room tidy. We very much enjoyed our stay at the Kempinski Cancun
