Kempinski Hotel Cancun

While this is a beautiful hotel with wonderful, warm people providing excellent service from room attendants to restaurant servers, the prices are extortianate . The rooms are large but need upgrading especially in the bathrooms where even mildly disabled people are exposed to dangers, and the bedding was quite uncomfortable. The showers have no grab bars and the floors are slippery with old fashioned rubber mats. There is inadequate storage space in either the bathrooms or bedrooms. We had to ask for an additional table lamp as there is insufficient bedside lighting. The television options are dismal, all most all Spanish speaking channels, which is fine but there are guests from all over the world here but few English speaking channels; lots of sports, even WWC wrestling, and kids shows. The restaurants were mostly good but in our opinion not at the gourmet level one would expect with such outrageous prices, I.e. dinner for two with two drinks at the upscale dining rooms, $350. Breakfast and lunches averaged $100 each, so plan on spending around three to four hundred plus dollars a day for meals. Again, could not ask for more warm, hardworking staff and we rewarded them with well deserved generous tips. However this added to a very expensive stay. We are seasoned travelers with no need to scrimp but feel this resort is not worth the price. Would not return.

Best of the best. The bestest hotel. Excellent staff. Great food. Beautiful comfy spacious rooms. Incredible beach area. Great pool. Lovely area close to Isla and Marina of cancun. Can’t recommend it enough. So peaceful and relaxing. Wonderful spa and hair salon. Such a nice gym. Amazing week! Thank you tooo much Kempinski Cancun!

My My wife and I just returned from another magical stay at the Kempinski Hotel Cancún, a place that has truly become part of our lives. We’ve been coming here for over 20 years—dating back to when it was the Ritz-Carlton—and it somehow keeps getting better while holding onto the warmth and elegance that made us fall in love with it in the first place. This January’s visit meant even more to us because our family had been going through a serious health challenge. The team at the spa—Jade, Yemy, and Theresa—did far more than provide treatments. They gave us space to breathe, heal, and reconnect. Their kindness and care meant more than we could ever properly express. One of the things that makes this hotel so special is the people who turn every moment into something memorable. Maria from room service is always such a joy—gracious, warm, and the kind of person who makes every delivery feel personal. Breakfast each morning is something we look forward to because of Angel, Rocio, Osmon, and Alberto, who greet us like family. And we can’t forget Noe’s incredible omelets and Maria’s tacos, which might honestly be the best way to start a day in Cancun. Out on the beach, Edgar, Joel, Rangel, Claudia and Oscar take impeccable care of guests. The service is effortless, attentive, and always delivered with a smile. Evenings for us almost always end at D-Lounge, where Juan, Blanca and the entire team make it feel like our nightly dinner with friends. The sushi chefs are absolutely killing it, and the atmosphere is warm, lively, and welcoming every single night. Behind the scenes, Leydi in housekeeping keeps our room absolutely perfect—every detail attended to with care. And of course, the welcome we receive from the concierge team Antonio & Rueben at the front desk sets the tone the moment we arrive. Their kindness and genuine hospitality make coming “home” to the Kempinski feel real. Thank you to everyone who made this stay so meaningful. We are already looking forward to coming back. I had no idea what to expect when we booked this hotel, but I am sure glad we did! This hotel is beautiful! The staff are amazing! The amenities top notch! Before you even get to the hotel, you’re greeted by the security staff at the drop gate. With all of the recent worries about violence in Mexico due to cartel retaliation, this one simple security feature was really nice (not that we had anything to worry about.. everything was pretty business as usual in Cancun)! The hotel is FANCY. Decadence on display. With a laid back atmosphere that doesn’t make you feel underdressed when walking around in your flip-flops lol. Once you get to your room level, the central lobby has these Pothos plants that cascade all the way down from top floor to the bottom level. The windows have sunlight spilling through with reflections off of the bay. And the views from the room are stunning! So many shades of blues and greens in the ocean. The breakfast package was a great move, and if you’re lucky enough to be here on a Sunday, the brunch did not disappoint! My girlfriend got a complimentary massage which was advertised as a 30 minute massage but was more like an hour and half spa experience—think steam room, hot tub, outdoor shower, cold plunge and crafting your own drink—than just a simple massage. The staff is awesome and super attentive. They also mix in both Spanish and English if you’re trying to practice your Spanish which we loved, both having minored in Spanish in college. I can’t say enough about this experience—clearly. If you were looking for a great place to stay in Cancun, definitely check out this hotel!
