Wonderful Kids Club

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 2 days ago

The kids club at the hotel is truly excellent! The staff is very friendly and professional, and the children feel comfortable right away. A special mention goes to Orchid and Dalia, who were absolutely amazing – caring, attentive, and wonderful with the kids. There are plenty of fun and varied activities, so there’s never a dull moment. For us as parents, it was perfect because we could relax knowing our kids were in great hands. Highly recommended!

Cleanliness

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 1 week ago

I am extremely disappointed with my stay. When I arrived, I immediately noticed multiple pieces of hair on the bed, and the room overall did not feel clean at all. This is completely unacceptable, especially considering the standards that are expected. I have stayed in many high-end, expensive hotels before, and this is honestly the first time I have experienced something this unpleasant. Cleanliness is the bare minimum, and it clearly was not met here. When I requested for my room to be cleaned, it took a long time for anyone to come, and instead of addressing the issue properly, I was given excuses.

Loud noises not relaxing

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 2 weeks ago

Staying here at the nizuc with my husband as a getaway, unfortunately this stay has not lived up to hype or price point, be aware this is constant construction loud banging at the pool areas both adults and family which makes relaxing impossible and the room has this very strong windy sound all of the time, at first it was cozy but after the first few hours it get extremely annoying so no relaxing at the pool area or at the room and the plunge pool even though they state is heated is too cold to go in. This is my last day here and honestly, unfortunately I don’t think I will be returning, for the price I’d find something better.

Overrated, Overpriced and lots of Construction

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 1 month ago

I want to start by saying the service in some cases was great, pool/beach and the asian restaurant in particular - staff were excellent. Unfortunately though the overall experience was a bit of a disappointment. Largely because of construction noise behind the main pool and beach. It was really noisy and diminished the experience. Who wants to hear loud jackhammering and rebar smashing right behind you all day while on vacation? To make it worse, Nizuc did nothing to inform guests in advance or upon arrival. Something pretty common other resorts will be open about at booking. You at least know what you’re getting into. The Ritz they’re building is going to make this place a mess for years, which leads me to their pricing… If you add inconsistent housekeeping, exorbitant pricing for food and beverages while you’re there (most restaurants were obscenely priced and not good) and the construction I just don’t see doing this Cancun. Not worth it at Nizuc. Management should be transparent with the work being done and lower their prices to reflect a lesser resort level compared to other options.

Loud and chaotic

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 1 month ago

We are currently here and after the luxury of our little hotel in Tulum, we are disappointed. There is no concierge to be reached. Our room was not ready on time. The spa staff is totally unhelpful- we can’t get prices for anything and they are completely unaware of the details of a guest’s package. There is ACTIVE, loud construction that disrupts the entire beach experience. The front desk staff is not friendly or even mildly apologetic when mistakes are made. There are a ton of little kids running through breakfast, which we didn’t really expect, as our side of the hotel is advertised as “adults only”. We had no idea that the nice beach and only breakfast choice would have more children than adults. The one positive is that our Ocean Suite is gorgeous and enormous, with a sunset view and beautiful balcony, and the housekeeping staff is lovely. Breakfast was loud, indoors and the experience was akin to dining in an airport terminal, but the food and Prosecco station were pretty great. The hotel should be actively discounting rates and warning people about construction. We are here for a few more days and hopeful that the experience will improve.

Very nice, upscale beachfront resort. Great service & amenities.

Only drawback was the Hawaii-level prices for food & beverages. These do not align with a Mexican Riviera vacation.

No one enjoys being worked over regardless of their social status.
