Beautiful hotel but concierge and baggage service is horrible for a 5 star resort. Forgot to send 2 bottles of wine on our sunset cruise and took 90 minutes to get our luggage after checking out at 11am. DO NOT RECOMMEND.

Terrible Billing Experience – Money Taken Illegally

We stayed at Hotel Carltone with high expectations, but unfortunately, we faced major issues with billing and communication that left a very bitter taste. First, we were incorrectly charged €560 for a beach area we had not reserved. Fortunately, a professional and kind lady at the reception personally handled the situation and resolved it on the spot. Her involvement was the only positive part of this experience. However, things got much worse after we checked out — over €22,000 was withdrawn from our card without our authorization. We made more than 20 phone calls to the hotel. No one followed up for three days, and on several calls, we were hung up on or ignored. It was only after strong insistence that the money was finally refunded. Not once did anyone apologize or show real concern. This level of service is completely unacceptable for a hotel that claims to be high-end. I sincerely recommend that management review and replace the staff in charge of payments, as this kind of mistake and response is inexcusable. 🔟 On a positive note, the breakfast staff was outstanding — friendly, efficient, and incredibly professional. They were the only part of the stay that truly felt five-star.
