I recently stayed here during the Cannes Lions festival. On the positive side, my room was a wonderful sanctuary. The bed and pillows were comfortable, the shower was great, and it featured a lovely view. More importantly, despite the numerous loud parties nearby, the room's soundproofing was absolutely excellent at keeping the noise out. However, the common areas were a different story. While it is entirely expected for hotel lobbies to be busy during a major festival, this property felt particularly overrun. The event spilled into the main spaces and made returning to the hotel felt like stepping straight into someone else's venue. The dining space is also a highlight—the breakfast terrace is beautiful and makes for a lovely morning setting. Where the hotel could improve is in the reliability of its housekeeping. Upon check-in, there was a leftover balloon from a previous guest and an empty shower gel bottle. Throughout the stay, different basic items were forgotten on different days—sometimes water, sometimes towels, or coffee pods—which became a minor but steady annoyance each day. The property has great bones and fantastic noise isolation, but daily hospitality routines just need to be more dependable, especially when the hotel is operating at capacity.

Had an excellent stay, This was my second visit to this hotel, prior was 2 years earlier. Service was brilliant, extremely friendly and staff at the front desk knew who is was even before saying Hi. Pros: - Amazing service at the front desk. - Brilliant location, right near the promenade and close to just about everything. - well organised and spacious rooms. (Was given a very nice room with a big balcony) Cons: - a little on the expensive side - Wifi was a little slow and I had to keep reconnecting each day. Will definitely stay here again.

I'm a little in love with this hotel and stay here every year (3rd) attending a luxury travel conference. Location Because I am running in and out the location is incredible - two blocks from the beach, 2 steps from the main street, really in the heart of the action. Staff Can Fix Any Problem - Happily And speaking of that running, the staff are the stand out. On my first trip the concierge (gold key, clef d'or) found and booked me a hair appointment last second (on a Monday when most are closed in France), and directed me to have business cards printed, both within 100m of the hotel. On this trip some online shopping arrived late and they repacked and returned it, after my departure. The service doesn’t stop when you leave. I don’t usually ask for such assistance (I'm an independent traveller and it's not Australian culture) but this is one hotel where I lean heavily on their services because they know what they are doing and make me feel comfortable asking because they are so genuinely helpful and smiling. The front desk always has ample staff (which I appreciate), extra points for a fun bar adjacent. Breakfast The breakfasts are also beautiful with fresh fruit and made to order omelettes that set me up for the day ahead and when I arrived early from a flight and had to go to meetings they offered me their complimentary suite next to reception pre check in, which is a room with a shower and lounge, so I could get ready. There are fancier and flashier hotels in town like the Carlton, but this non-stuffy four star is still fancy and luxe, without the attitude. I found no cons, loads of pros. Cleanliness A1.

5 out of 5 centrally located. You can easily walk from train station. Nice area of town with lots of restaurants and shops.

I stayed here with my sister to celebrate my birthday, and from check-in to check-out, we were met with rudeness and a complete lack of care from the front desk staff and the manager, Shella (I believe that is the name of the manager). Sadly, we experienced incidents that could only be described as racist — something we hoped wouldn’t be the case. On my birthday, I was left in tears following an interaction with the night team. Rather than offering a simple apology, Shella chose to defend her staff, saying they were “good” and essentially dismissed everything I had gone through. Housekeeping also failed to meet basic standards. Our room wasn’t properly cleaned, and requests for privacy were ignored. On one occasion, a cleaner entered while I was completely naked, despite clear instructions not to come in — which is a serious breach of privacy and completely unacceptable. The only saving grace of this stay was the breakfast team. They were warm, thoughtful, and clearly saw I was upset. They went out of their way to sing happy birthday to me, which brought a bit of light to an otherwise awful experience. To be clear: the front desk and security team were unprofessional, dismissive, and demonstrated behaviour that was both racist and unacceptable. However, the rest of the hotel staff, especially those at breakfast, were truly lovely. I would not recommend staying here, especially if you’re expecting even basic levels of respect and hospitality.
