Very pretty rooms, best customer service and super baby friendly! No racism at all, everyone’s welcome. The breakfast was amazing had alot of variety. It was great that housekeeping was available to clean the room multiple times. It was also baby friendly, my baby got alot of attention from team Martinez and also got some cute baby towels!

Great location, service and ambience

I have not stayed at Martinez in many years and was looking forward to se the hotel after the renovation around 2020. Martinez always had a great reputation, and there is no reason the should keep the good reputation. The service is really good on all levels. Had a great check in experience. There was a misunderstanding with the booking, however that was handled immediately without any inconvenience. Rooms where spacious and cleaning very good. Very helpful concierge, organizing reservations and lunches at the beach club. We did end up going to another beach club as it was a little crowded at Martinez with the beds very close to one another and also very close to the restaurant. All of the tables in the restaurant was under roof. We did not visit the pool area. Walking distance to everything. We had a garden view, but I would definitely recommend a room with sea view as the view is really nice watching the sea and Croisette. Lots of very nice restaurants nearby in all price ranges.

A Dreamy Stay with Room for Improvement

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 2 weeks ago

Hotel Martinez truly captures the charm and elegance of the South of France. The ambiance is luxurious, pleasant, and almost dreamlike, perfect for a refined getaway in Cannes. The decor, atmosphere, and overall service reflect the five star experience one would expect from such a historic and iconic property. However, there are areas that need attention, particularly in the breakfast service. While the quality of the food is excellent, the staff appears highly disorganized. On both mornings of my stay, I noticed that staff took a long time to acknowledge guests who had just been seated. Even more concerning, they did not seem to have control over which tables were occupied or temporarily vacated. For example, I stepped away to get another plate from the buffet and returned to find my table already cleared, an experience that felt dismissive and careless. Additionally, small but important details were overlooked. When I ordered an omelette, no one noticed I was missing a fork, and no effort was made to check in or ask if I wanted another coffee. These issues were consistent across both mornings, suggesting a lack of proper staff training or coordination. The breakfast area simply does not match the otherwise polished five star standard of the hotel. Lastly, guests should be aware that pricing for food and beverages is extremely steep. Expect to pay 25 euros for a cocktail, 50 euros for a room service burger, and 15 euros for a basic glass of wine. While this may not be surprising for a hotel of this caliber in Cannes, it does feel excessive for what is offered. In summary, Hotel Martinez offers a beautiful and memorable setting, but the poor breakfast service significantly disrupts the overall guest experience. It creates a sense of stress and neglect that contrasts sharply with the refined image the hotel aims to project. Until this issue is addressed, it will continue to leave guests with a disappointing final impression.

Book this fantastic hotel and enjoy

As ever this hotel is wonderful in every way love this place and look forward to returning again, the facilities and staff are perfection. unfortunately The greeter at the new bar was a little on the rude side and made us feel very uncomfortable like we shouldn’t be in the bar as he moved us from our table to a corner spot staff in Le Sud bar are more pleasant which is such a shame as the rest of the staff are exceptionally professional from the door staff to the reception and housekeeping staff. Thanks for another wonderful visit

The best hotel on the Croisette

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 3 weeks ago

I have by now stayed at the Martinez three times in the past year and it now feels like home. From the minute you pull up at their porch, every single person on the team wows you with their efficiency and warmth, from the bell desk to the concierge, to the front office team. Le Sud has the best breakfast spread but has an even better team of people who are intuitive and warm. I love that the hotel is welcoming of all sorts of guests- triathletes, pet parents, wedding guests and regular long stay guests, not to mention corporate clients and leisure guests. The newly opened Martinez bar rocks hard - has more vibe than the outlets just outside the hotel. The art deco style of the hotel, the clean and bright colors of the rooms, the high quality of their in-room amenities and the top notch staff - they have my vote and I would rate the Martinez the best hotel on the Cannes Croisette!!!
