Built in the 1920s, the exquisite Art Deco-era Hotel Martinez reigns over Cannes, one of the most glamorous cities on the French Riviera. From palm-fringed grounds facing the sea, the hotel dominates La Croisette, the world-famous promenade. This Leading Hotels of the World and Concorde Hotels Group member was recently renovated and restored to its original grandeur. With outstanding dining, impeccable service and superb amenities, the Martinez remains one of the grandest hotels on the Riviera.

This is a beautiful hotel in a wonderful location. Staff were very friendly and attentive. Decor is very pleasing to the eye. Sea views are beautiful. Smaller than some of the other hotels along the esplanade but that adds to its beauty. A selection of amazing cars parked outside which my son found very entertaining.

I recently spent two nights at the Hotel Martinez in Cannes. I was traveling with my parents to celebrate their 50th wedding anniversary. We booked two rooms and requested room assignments nearby each other. I’m a Globalist and I gifted a Guest of Honor certificate to my parents. We were positively delighted to both receive upgrades to Junior Suites with Terraces, with our rooms next door to each other. We both received champagne as a welcome amenity and my parents additionally received a delicious chocolate mousse cake. The rooms were spacious with tasteful décor and royal blue accents. The large bathroom had double sinks, a deep bathtub, and a separate rainfall shower stall. All of the amenities were included (dental kit, razor, vanity kits, loofah, etc) and were replenished daily. The terraces were huge with multiple seating options and sun loungers with beach towels. There was a partial sea view to the side. We enjoyed perfect weather during our stay so the private outdoor space was a real treat. Breakfast was served at Le Sud and was lavish buffet with the cooked to order eggs and barista coffee included. The bread and pastry station occupied an entire wall and everything I tried was high quality. There was also a gluten free section. Along with all of the typical western breakfast options, there was an extensive selection of fresh fruits and I particularly enjoyed the passion fruit. The spread included a mimosa/bellini and bloody mary station with all the garnishes. The property’s beach front location was ideal for strolling the Croisette and the train station was an easy 15-20 minute walk. The area around the hotel is full of shopping and dining options. We had a great stay at Hotel Martinez and I’m already planning a return visit.

I was expecting a lot from this hotel based on the price and it didn’t disappoint. Great check in, lovely room with view of the pool, fabulous breakfast

Can’t ask for better experience at hotel Martinez which is both luxury and kid friendly at the same time which is rare to find! staff is super helpful, dedicated and you can’t ask for a better breakfast experience. we stayed there for 5 days but my son already asked to come back there next time!!!

This is a badly managed hotel. Just a few examples: towels thrown over every single pool lounger, but the pool is empty of both guests and - apparently - staff, reminding more of a Spanish 3 star hotel than 5 stars on Cote d'Azur. We also had staff repeatedly enter our room without knocking when the do not disturb sign was posted. But they refused to enter, knock or call when waiting for medicine to be delivered for our daughter. Overall a tragic disappointment compared with the best 5 star Hyatt properties. Repeated requests to management to rectify the situation were literally ignored: after waiting forever at reception (which is a total mess with no order) to "talk to a manager" (since the staff on duty are very nice teenagers with no capability) ended with us agreeing to be contacted via email. Which was apparently forgotten the moment we left. Shockingly bad.
