With its brilliantly white Art Deco-style façade anno 1923, storied Majestic Barrière Cannes epitomizes French Riviera luxury lifestyle along tony Boulevard La Croisette. Located across from the red-carpeted Palais de Festivals, where Hollywood A-listers strut their stuff during the famous film festival, the hotel Grand Dame wows guests with an expansive lobby dominated by dramatic champagne-colored columns, twinkling chandeliers and polished antiques-furnished seating areas. 265 brightly elegant rooms occupy a total of 7 floors and sleek dark-hued furniture is smartly balanced with crimson splashes and eye-catching floral images in gilt frames. Rooms provide must-have gadgetry like Bose iPod docks, wireless Internet access, plus flat-screen televisions, and, for the no-delay pick-me-up in the AM, Nespresso machines are on hand. Black marble-clad bathrooms show off equally dapper design and are kitted out with separate bathtubs and showers as well as bespoke toiletries.

Outstanding classic hotel. The service from booking with Jihen in reservations all the way to check out was flawless and everyone went the extra mile to make things perfect. The rooms have been beautifully renovated and the location, views, and food cannot be better. I’m just hoping the hotel can find back the soft toy I left in the room. Thanks to the whole team and looking forward to my next stay.

My husband and I spent 5 days at Le Majestic Barriere in Cannes. This hotel is in the midst of all things in Cannes, so location is prime. Across the street is the beach club. A short walk east are various beachside, high end restaurants and clubs. To the west is the casino and town square with numerous restaurants and walking areas. Streets behind and beside the hotel have world class shopping. The beauty is, you don’t have to leave the hotel grounds as there is plenty to do. With amazing dining, a terrific breakfast brunch and restaurant. The pool area is classy and chique, with full service. Rooms are very well appointed and a generous size, just what you would expect at a five star french hotel. Our room faced the ocean and pool, I would highly recommend the splurge!

Fabulous hotel. Great location. Staff were wonderful. We were upgraded from a partial sea view to a sea view, which was wonderful. Pool area is a little on the small side.

We stayed two nights at Hotel Barrière Le Majestic Cannes, and it was a wonderful experience overall—we would happily recommend it and stay again. The hotel has an excellent location, right across the road from the beach and in the heart of Cannes’ main shopping area. Parking is available for an additional fee. On arrival, we were warmly greeted by the staff, who assisted with our luggage and took care of the car, parking it in their garage. Check-in was smooth, but unfortunately, it took over an hour for our bags to be delivered to the room, and we eventually had to call reception to follow up. Once settled, we headed straight to the outdoor pool, which was lovely. Sun loungers are complimentary for hotel guests, and there’s a bar by the pool. The pool itself is surrounded by a glass fence and overlooked by the hotel restaurant, which created a nice atmosphere. That evening, we went out for dinner—just a five-minute walk from the hotel, with plenty of options to choose from—though the hotel very inviting. Breakfast the next morning was excellent, with a large buffet selection, an omelette station, and plenty of fresh fruit. Our room was beautifully decorated, featuring a small balcony with two chairs and a table, offering a sea view. The bed was very comfortable, and the bathroom was spacious, though the layout was slightly unusual, with a small cubicle shower separate from the bathtub. We also made use of the indoor spa, which, while compact, provided a relaxing space with a sauna, steam room, ice fountain, showers, and seating area. The hotel’s private beach was another highlight, with sun loungers available for an additional fee, as well as a restaurant and a dock offering water sports such as jet skiing (also at an extra cost). Overall, our stay at Hotel Barrière Le Majestic Cannes was relaxing and memorable. Despite a small hiccup with luggage delivery, the location, facilities, and service made it an excellent choice, and we would certainly stay here again.

At the Majestic Barrière in Cannes, the accommodations were no less than spectacular! The room was very large, nicely appointed, and had a side view of La Croisette. There were fireworks at night over the bay, with all the yachts from places all over the world, below. A fabulous honeymoon we will never forget.
