Ok stay..

Lovely hotel, service by house keeping, reception and concierge staff was great and as you expect from a 5*resort. location is perfect, however beach staff weren't great. One afternoon we went to the beach for around an hour and half so didn't want to spend the €65 each for a sunbed, So I asked the beach staff for some towels and sat on the beach so my child could have a play in the sand.. a few minutes later I was asked to move of the beach to the public beach for the customers.. in which I replied I am a customer. No one else on the beach seemed to have an issue but the beach waitors. I didn't move, but it did have a negative impact on the rest of our stay at the hotel. My family and I have stayed in numerous 5*+ hotels in our time and have never been made to feel like we did then. Which is shame as when we choose to return to Cannes in the future we will choose an alternative hotel instead.

Absolutely an amazing experience. Impeccable service, flawless and efficient in all aspects. Exquisite food and drinks from the Bar, the main restaurant, Hyde Beach Club and from room service. Modern facilities and clean interior design. Loved this hotel!!! Highly recommend!

Had a good stay here for 2 nights. V comfortable rooms & v tastefully decorated. Most staff extremely well trained, helpful & polite. Nice touch of complimentary bottle of rosé for my wife’s birthday. 2nd day received a complimentary upgrade to a room w legitimate accessible bathroom, after access issues w bathroom on the 1st night. Disappointingly & contrary to photos on website, only outside space is the front garden, which is very pleasant but not beach front - you just cross the road & paseo & go to Hyde beach club like any non-hotel guest can do (with a rather insulting discount of 5€ off the standard walk in price). Pier was under renovation & not open. Apparently the season starts in May so don’t come before if you want to spend time on the pier. We had an issue w being charged the wrong bill from Hyde beach club (wrong day, wrong room number charged to our account!!) but this was rectified swiftly & considerately by Justine. We spoke at length w reception manager regarding the expectations we had from images on the hotel website, but alas were met with a brick wall defensiveness & refusal to gauge our perspective. We had a nice time but left feeling slightly deceived & misled by unrealistic website that shows facilities that don’t exist within the hotel.

Wonderful location Amazing rooms Stunning hotel decor Expensive in ways you don’t expect Service levels don’t support the price. For instance We asked reception for some milk for our morning cuppa. After a short awkward moment - room service was suggested by me as a the option - 5 euro for half a pint. Bar drinks were excellent - but it took ages to get served and we had to keep prompting them to be told - we are doing our best. Niggles/first world problems but at this price it matters. We had a prestige room with sea view and terrace - expensive - you expect more. Let’s see if it improves - probably wont go to the bar now and will ration the milk. PS 9 euro for a coffee and another 9 for a tonic water. No problem if it’s excellent service - it’s not been so far.
