Reviews for Radisson Blu 1835 Hotel & Thalasso

classic stay in cannes

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 1 day ago

This is my 3rd time staying at this hotel. As a Hilton diamond member, I’ve been upgraded all three times. The breakfast is wonderful. The spa and pool is free to diamond members for 90 minutes, otherwise it’s 20 euros. This time limit doesn’t seem to be enforced, unless it’s a busy time. The hotel is centrally located with restaurants and bars just steps away.

Outstanding Customer Service

We spent 4 nights at the Canopy by Hilton Cannes for my cousin and my birthday holidays. The team went above and beyond their duties to make our stay a memorable one. We received a tailor made welcome, with in-room decorations and welcome gifts too (which were unexpected). All the team members were very attentive and welcoming throughout our stay. Special mention goes to Camille, the Guest Relation and Quality Manager, who made our whole stay incredible. She is credit to the company. Thank you so much again, Camille. Also the food quality of their Cafe Creme is excellent, a must try! Well done kitchen team for preparing such wonderful food! We will certainly recommend to our friends and family and will be back again! Thank you.

Visit not as expected

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 3 weeks ago

The breakfast and views from the rooftop were amazing! The rooms have an odd configuration with the toilet separate from the shower, which isn’t terrible except the sink is also in with the shower. The rooms are a bit dated and the carpet in our room was pretty worn and stained. The beds were very comfortable. My biggest issue with this hotel was the excessive noise from the sea view rooms. We stayed on a weekend and didn’t realize that there was so much noise from the stag parties and football celebrations which we heard all night from our room. There is also construction on the dock during weekdays. Our overall experience didn’t match the image of a relaxing and peaceful environment we had envisioned when we booked the room and staff were not sympathetic when we expressed concerns over the noise simply stating “this is how the French celebrate”.

Anti climax

Roof top bar with a view except it has a building site next door not their fault the hotel for a stay is excellent but the roof top restaurant is let down by the service…. Bit of an anti climax ….our wine arrived after we had finished the main course! Need I say more

Big smiles in a beautiful locale

We had such a great time here! The location is incredible, views are wonderful, and staff is superb. We were particularly impressed with Anna. She was so very kind, helpful, and had the most amazing welcoming attitude. We were so happy to see her at breakfast each morning. We stayed in the apartment style room, which was phenomenal! Nice big shower (unlike some European hotels), great AC (which is appealing to us Americans haha), plenty of space for a long stay. I would absolutely recommend this hotel and can’t wait to come back.
