Great boutique hotel to stay at while visiting Cannes, France

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 6 days ago

We recently returned from a vacation and stayed at Canopy Hotel by Hilton in Cannes, France. It is a smaller hotel in the area, but very charming. Is located right on the water. It’s within walking distances of many restaurants. It also has a wonderful restaurant on the rooftop, that also served a delicious breakfast buffet. We were also able to order a breakfast a nice omelette. The hotel also had a café on the ground floor, which had great croissants with coffee. The hotel itself was a older hotel that had been completely refurnished several years ago. Most of the hotel rooms face the water and had a great view. There was a spa with a pool and a gym which we did not have an opportunity to use, but apparently it’s very nice. When we arrived at night, we had dinner at Marea and they served us an excellent Seabass with truffled mashed potatoes, which was delicious. The staff was all very friendly and informative. The manager , Camille Vanlerberghe stop by to greet us, which was very appreciated. She also gave us some information on the area. I would recommend if you visit Cannes that you consider staying at this hotel

We booked this hotel at the last minute, and it was a real gem. Although the room was very small, the bed was extremely comfortable. In fact, it was the most comfortable bed of our entire travels to date. The shower was warm and had great water pressure. The location was perfect, right across from the water and very near restaurants, cafes and shops. The staff was friendly. The room price was reasonable since we were in the off season, although we didn't choose to have breakfast as it was very expensive. Nice to have an elevator which made it very easy to manage our luggage. Overall a great experience.

Lively cafe with great brunch food

This review is for Cafe Creme in the Canopy Hilton. We loved the cafe so much went there three times in our 10 day stay in Cannes. The staff are so friendly and the menu is varied. The double espresso coffee is excellent. The outlook is to the Cannes marina super yachts and the vibe is lively. The poached eggs with sausage and fried potato delicious and brioche french toast as well. Highly recommend this cafe.

Autumn break

Spent a few relaxing days in Canopy Cannes, and was very pleased with the location and amenities. The staff was always very helpful and friendly. Comfortable bedroom, amazing views from the breakfast room on the top floor. The city is very walkable, and easy to get around the riviera with the train.

Hotel Management Never Responded, Even After Escalation

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 2 months ago

Very disappointing experience. My reservation at Canopy by Hilton Cannes was canceled due to unforeseen circumstances, and I was charged a cancellation fee according to their policy. I requested an exception as a gesture of fairness and good customer service. The hotel said they would pass my request to the general manager, but they never came back with any response, even after Booking.com customer service followed up multiple times. This lack of support left me with a very negative impression of their service."
