Disappointing

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 1 day ago

What a disappointment! Expected more from a hotel with Hilton in its name. More like a Premier Inn. Good location, room was large but hated the plastic furniture. No lounge area or bar. Marea restaurant on the top floor was very good and the NY eve dinner was excellent. Staff in here and hte ground floor cafe were excellent

A lovely stay

We stayed at this hotel when my husband was at a work conference. Honors gold was recognised and an upgrade given. We had arrived before check in time so the room was not quite ready but as soon as we left the hotel, they rang us to say the room was in fact ready after all. This was our first time staying in a Canopy and we thought the room design was really nice with some lovely touches. The view and the coffee machine were very much appreciated. Filtered water is available from downstairs to refill the glass bottle given. The room comes with a steamer but an iron and ironing board can be provided. We enjoyed drinks at the rooftop bar which came with nice snacks and prices as you would expect. The breakfast was lovely and the service was good. The views from the breakfast area are also fantastic. We were informed at check in about the planned pool closures, it was a pity this was timed with a busy conference week. The location of the Hotel is great with lots of bars and restaurants within walking distance and Ubers are readily available. You can walk to the train station or take a quick Uber trip and then explore the rest of the coast by train easily.

Great boutique hotel to stay at while visiting Cannes, France

We recently returned from a vacation and stayed at Canopy Hotel by Hilton in Cannes, France. It is a smaller hotel in the area, but very charming. Is located right on the water. It’s within walking distances of many restaurants. It also has a wonderful restaurant on the rooftop, that also served a delicious breakfast buffet. We were also able to order a breakfast a nice omelette. The hotel also had a café on the ground floor, which had great croissants with coffee. The hotel itself was a older hotel that had been completely refurnished several years ago. Most of the hotel rooms face the water and had a great view. There was a spa with a pool and a gym which we did not have an opportunity to use, but apparently it’s very nice. When we arrived at night, we had dinner at Marea and they served us an excellent Seabass with truffled mashed potatoes, which was delicious. The staff was all very friendly and informative. The manager , Camille Vanlerberghe stop by to greet us, which was very appreciated. She also gave us some information on the area. I would recommend if you visit Cannes that you consider staying at this hotel

We booked this hotel at the last minute, and it was a real gem. Although the room was very small, the bed was extremely comfortable. In fact, it was the most comfortable bed of our entire travels to date. The shower was warm and had great water pressure. The location was perfect, right across from the water and very near restaurants, cafes and shops. The staff was friendly. The room price was reasonable since we were in the off season, although we didn't choose to have breakfast as it was very expensive. Nice to have an elevator which made it very easy to manage our luggage. Overall a great experience.
