Everything about The Stephanie Inn is about serenity. That's what we felt. From our first-floor mini king suite with direct access to the beach, the view, the low-key atmosphere, and the unpretentiousness of it all. A thoughtfully placed, coffee/tea and pastries are set up directly off the lobby for those of us early birds. The library/common area is very welcoming with a fireplace and the breathtaking view of the coastline with the Haystack Rock. We enjoyed the complementary wine and an ample array of appetizers for happy hour. Nice touch. We didn't avail ourselves to the nightcap hour, which is also nightly. We enjoyed a sumptuous breakfast every morning. Amazing quality and variety! One night we had the pre-fixe dinner. It is either at 5:30pm or 8pm sharp daily, starting with amuse bouche through dessert. All explained in advance by the chef. We are earlier diners, so chose the 5:30. Unfortunately, the restaurant is set facing the opposite side of the hotel, so we missed the sunset. The sunsets are not to be missed. Perhaps they could make dinner ala carte some nights, so people can eat when they like. However, we were able to order room service, which is ala carte, after enjoying some local wine on our patio watching the sunset. One afternoon we enjoyed champagne placed in the room my husband had requested to celebrate my birthday. The staff, accommodations, location, and overall vibe are top notch! We hope to return

You could not ask for better accommodations. Staff made you feel at home and couldn't do enough for you. The free shuttle to town was great. No schedule just when you are ready to go. Loved the afternoon gathering and the views of the ocean are amazing.

We have been visiting the Stephanie Inn for the past 10 years—sometimes twice a year—and every stay has been nothing short of extraordinary. The staff at Stephanie Inn are truly in a league of their own. Their attention to detail, warmth, professionalism, and genuine kindness consistently make us feel cared for in a way few places ever have. They elevate every part of the experience. The property itself is nestled in one of the most breathtaking locations on the northern Oregon Coast—steps away from the iconic “Goonies Rock” at Cannon Beach. The rooms are beautifully appointed, cozy, and luxurious, with thoughtful touches like a fireplace and heated bathroom floors that make it feel like a true retreat. Each morning begins with the chef’s daily breakfast, always delicious and always offering something new. In the afternoons, guests are invited to gather for local wines, craft beer, and delightful small bites—a wonderful chance to meet others, share stories, and soak in the day’s adventures. Evening dinner at the Inn is an unforgettable 5-star dining experience, with incredible food and impeccable service. And to close the night, the Inn provides a nightcap gathering featuring wines, cocktails, and warm conversation. If you haven’t yet treated yourself to the Stephanie Inn experience, you are genuinely missing out on something unforgettable. Once you stay here, it’s impossible not to fall in love and find yourself returning year after year—just like we do.

Towards the end of our vacation portion of the wifey's work trip, with me as the plus one, she chose the Stephanie Inn on Cannon Beach. We had visited Cannon Beach a couple of years ago during a similar trip but had not the pleasure of staying there. For us it was a full-on geek-out moment as Goonies is one of our classic favorites, and the view from our room included the classic silhouette from that movie! As it was approaching yours truly's birthday The wifey felt that she would take it off the deep end and booked us at one of the highest rated hotels, apparently in the entire world! It is truly an elegant inn but not over the top. The service is what would be expected in any luxury resort venue. The community area/library was exceptionally relaxing with wide open ocean views. There were games and puzzles and books for anyone and everyone to enjoy. The check-in process was seamless. They are pretty strict about the 4:00 p.m. check-in however. They have a 4:00 wine and hors d'oeuvre service in the library. They have a 9:00 after dinner aperitif service in the library. They have an amazing restaurant, see my separate review, on the second floor and we're walking distance from our lavishly appointed room. In that restaurant they offer an included breakfast that was delicious! Our room was exceptional in cleanliness and decor. The view from the balcony of the crashing ocean down below and the frolicking, local bunny rabbits, you'll have to see it to believe it, rounded out an amazing experience. The bed was exactly comfortable, and the bathroom was lavish with a soaking tub for two! We even enjoyed their spa which is on par with any we've ever experienced. Although it is apparently now very difficult, if we ever had the chance to get another reservation there, we would be more than pleased, as you should be!
