Stephanie Inn

Went to the Stephanie Inn the July 17-21 for the wife's birthday. From the first contact with David at the front desk we were impressed. Our room was in the Carriage House and it was very comfortable with an amazing view of the ocean and Haystack Rock. Sunsets were unbelievable. We had a fire built on the shore at sunset, with a bottle of wine and watched the sun go down into nightfall. Very cool! Getting a ride into town and back was a great amenity. All of the staff, specifically Travis and Beasley, were amazing and informed us about everything of interest in and around the inn. It was the first time to coastal Oregon and we will be back to stay at the Stephanie Inn. Also, kudos to Matt for teaching me how to start a hybrid mini van (don't judge). Thanks again!!

Review Title: A Heartbreaking Decline – The End of a Longstanding Tradition For years, the Stephanie Inn was our standard for Oregon Coast hospitality—a retreat we returned to time and again whenever we needed to unwind. It is with deep disappointment and regret that I write this, but after our most recent stay, it has become clear that the quiet luxury, meticulous attention to detail, and genuine warmth that once defined this property are no longer present. What used to feel like an intimate, seamless luxury experience now feels transactional and indifferent. During our stay, we observed a noticeable drop in service standards across the board: Diminished Service & Warmth: The personalized, intuitive service that long-term guests once relied on has vanished. Front-of-house interactions lacked the welcoming touch we used to appreciate, feeling distant and rushed instead. Slipping Attention to Detail: From subtle oversight in room readiness to minor maintenance issues that should never occur at this price point, the hotel’s execution no longer matches its positioning or pricing. Eroded Value: While rates continue to reflect a premier luxury retreat, the actual guest experience no longer justifies the cost. The charm and refined touch that once made the Stephanie Inn special have simply faded. When a beloved sanctuary changes so fundamentally, it is truly saddening. We held onto our fond memories from prior visits, hoping this stay would reaffirm why we kept returning. Unfortunately, it did the opposite. After many years of loyalty, this was definitively our last stay.

Will stay there again, The staff and accommodations were fantastic. You won't find a better place to stay on the entire Coast.

The Stephanie continues to provide an amazing respite from the heat and humidity of Arkansas. The atmosphere is so relaxing, and the staff are fully attentive to our every need. This was our 9th stay in the past 11 yrs. We simply love everything about the Inn.

Stephanie Inn is a truly magical place to stay in Cannon Beach. The food was exceptional, the service was warm and attentive, and the atmosphere was elegant, cozy, and welcoming. The inn itself offers beautiful ocean views that make the stay even more special. A wonderful place for a relaxing getaway—we can't wait to return!
