Congress Hall

So Wonderful! We stayed at the Red Cottage for my husband’s surprise birthday weekend with his college friends and wives. Kris, the concierge made sure everything went perfectly. My husband was so surprised. It was a convenient location for everything. Having the Southern Suite w/ a kitchen was great for snacks and cocktails on the porch. The rooms were gorgeous and spacious. The staff was extremely attentive - chocolate covered strawberries, extra wine glasses, continued texts to check on us multiple times a day. They even shipped me jewelry that I left behind. They exceeded my expectations! Give Kris a raise!

Fantastic location overlooking the ocean, with the feel of a luxurious old time beach resort. Lots of history in this place. Within walking distance of Washington Mall and most other places. The mall has so many shops and eating and drinking establishments. Our room overlooked the grand lawn and the ocean. The window seat in our room gave us a spectacular view. I could sit there all day. The bed was so comfortable and the bathroom was spacious, with a separate tub from the shower. The noise level was almost nonexistent, but we were on the top floor. I will say, the rooms need better lighting, more outlets, and better water pressure in the shower. The rooms and property were well maintained and very clean. The staff were extremely friendly and accomodating. The Boiler Room offered great tasting food and drinks. They also had live music and dancing Friday and Saturday. The Brown Room also has music and fantastic cocktails. We only went to The Blue Pig for breakfast. The portions were plentiful and delicious. I would stay here again. October is a perfect time. For four nights, I thought it was a little pricey, and it did not include breakfast. The cost wouldn't stop from staying here again.

Congress Hall is a very special place to stay in Cape May. It is a clean comfortable resort with fine accommodations, amenities & service and excellent dining. I highly recommend it as a place to get away from it all and enjoy your vacation.

We have been to Congress Hall quite a few times and each time is a fabulous experience. Starting with the staff, they are all extremely friendly and anxious for you to have a great time. The hotel is very unique in that the building itself is very old. However, it is spotless and each room is a little different. We wait until end of September when the crowds lessen and the prices are lower. We have recommended Congress Hall to many others. Plenty do do around Cape May - sometimes we even get a late season beach day! The addition of a free shuttle service around the area makes it even easier to explore. Once you valet your car no need to move it!

First visit was short, 2 nights, but extremely memorable. Vintage elegance, charm, and an amazingly wonderful experience.
