Beautiful resort that needs some housekeeping attention
The location was truly ideal, directly opposite the beach, offering beautiful views and stunning sunsets. The atmosphere was wonderfully relaxing, and the staff at the restaurant, coffee shop, and front desk were all exceptional. However, a concern arose during checkout. As is my custom, I stripped the bed to assist the staff. Regrettably, upon doing so, I discovered what appeared to be several stains and a significant circular stain on the mattress pad where I had slept for three nights. We did not experience any accidents ourselves, which suggests that the housekeeping staff may not be routinely removing and washing the mattress pads beneath the sheets. Additionally, two of the four pillows had what appeared to be spit marks on both the pillow itself and the zippered case, further indicating that these items might not be regularly removed and laundered. I would strongly recommend implementing waterproof covers over the mattress pads and utilizing waterproof zippered protectors for the pillows. This would undoubtedly contribute to a more sanitary environment and extend the lifespan of your bedding. While we generally had a pleasant stay, this discovery regarding the bedding did somewhat diminish the overall experience.

My birthday in Carlsbad
We had a balcony room and spent hours watching the ocean. We saw surfers, dolphins, waves - it was so relaxing. Appreciated the filtered water refills at ice stations, and the friendliness of the staff.

From the moment we pulled up to the front of the report everyone was so nice. Even checking in we were taken back by how nice and welcoming everyone was. The stay was very enjoyable, and as always wish we could’ve stayed longer. Will definitely come back to this location in the future.
