Cape Rey Carlsbad, A Hilton Resort

Only one complaint! Guests should receive more than 1 chip to give to employees for recognition. I have many employees I want to recognize! We had 2 rooms so had 2 chips… I gave those to Jill in The Chandler ( amazing waitress!) and Deb’s at front desk ( SO welcoming and friendly!). I would also like management to know that Ryan at the Valet set a great tone upon our arrival as did Steve. Sean st the front desk was great… patient and very accommodating. Michelle at the front desk was also exceptional. I wish we had all the names of staff out at the pool.

Best time ever, you should go if you like going with your family on trips. The best part is the pool and that is close to Legoland - Sarah, 7 years old

Our stay at the Hilton Carlsbad Cape Rey Resort was absolutely fantastic from start to finish. The location is unbeatable — right across from the beach with breathtaking ocean views, beautiful walking paths, and easy access to Carlsbad Village. What stood out most was the service. Any small issue that came up was handled immediately and professionally. Whether it was a minor room concern or a quick request for extra amenities, the staff, housekeeping, and engineering teams responded within minutes. You can tell they genuinely care about making every guest’s stay perfect. One of the coolest surprises was Albert, the hotel’s delivery robot. Need towels, toiletries, or even a late-night snack? Albert shows up at your door, gives you a friendly call to let you know he’s there, and delivers your items right to your room — no waiting, no hassle. It’s both efficient and fun! The property itself is spotless and well-maintained. Housekeeping kept everything fresh, the pool area is pristine with plenty of loungers, and the on-site restaurant offers delicious meals with ocean-view seating. The front desk team was warm and welcoming, always ready with recommendations for local activities or dining. This is the kind of resort where you can completely relax knowing everything is taken care of. Between the attentive staff, high-tech conveniences like Albert, and the prime coastal location, our stay was nothing short of perfect. We will definitely be coming back!

Loved picking our room and the digital key. Room was nice and clean. Our view was great over looking the pool. We will come again!!

As a Gold HH member was originally told by Bob we would get an upgrade. Didn't happen when I followed up. The woman said nothing was available. There were pool view (accessible) and ocean view. I let it go. A little flexibility goes a long way in customer service. Enjoyed our stay otherwise. On my reservation I specified we were celebrating our 47th anniversary. Good.stay.
