Bad Dinner reservation policy as a 2 Night Guest

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 4 days ago

Room could use some help, sparse, missing artwork on walls etc. Dorm room style fridge sits on floor in the open. No air conditioning. Made a dinner reservation for the wrong night and we were checking out. Restaurant is closed on Mon. And Tues. for Dinner, not sure how you do that while operating a hotel..so at checkout the woman was very content with warning me if she pressed cancel for Dinner we would automatically be charged a $200.00 fee because it was not cancelled within 24 hours. We cancelled 8 hours ahead.. nice checkout after staying 2 nights. So, we won’t stay here next visit. A shame, the Breakfast was good. No hospitality here….if the Dinner is as good as the award, they should have no problem filling our dinner space.

Great all-around experience!

The hotel was clean and full of character, the staff was attentive and thorough, the room was clean and comfortable and the bathroom was large and updated. The courtyard was a great place to meet and visit and the proximity to the main streets, restaurants and wine tasting was great. We walked to everything except the Clint Eastwood Mission Restaurant for which the hotel driver brought us there and back. We are already talking about our next visit there.

Praise and appreciation all around.

My wife and I with another couple enjoyed our 3 nights at L'Auberge Carmel. The hotel is conveniently located and the rooms were clean and comfortable. The staff was exceptional throughout our stay and we especially enjoyed Madisen's friendly and attentive table service during our morning breakfast daily. Our group unanimously agreed that we will stay at L'Auberge again if we have the opportunity.

I can’t imagine a better place in Carmel by the Sea

While not related to the Auberge in Napa and other places, this is a special inn. The included breakfast is phenomenal - the Aubergine restaurant is a 2 Michelin star after all. Sparkling and still water are included in your room, Matouk bath sheets, fabulous bed linens, etc - very luxe. They bring you fantastic cookies at night. Valet parking is free. My only suggestion is that they could use some fans. We were in room 14 and despite the cool Outdoors, it wasn’t super cold inside.

A Girls Trip!

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 2 months ago

I enjoyed this past summer an extended weekend with my girlfriends at L’Auberge Carmel in Carmel, California. From the moment we arrived, the cozy ambiance welcomed us. Our comfortable rooms made us feel at home, and we gathered in the garden patio, enjoying local wine and sharing laughter. The next morning, we indulged in a delicious brunch at the inn’s restaurant, savoring fresh, local dishes while catching up. Afterward, we explored the quaint streets of Carmel, visiting unique shops and art galleries. One afternoon, we took a stroll on the beach, collecting seashells and capturing photos of the stunning coastline, especially during sunset. Evenings at L’Auberge were special, filled with delectable dinners that enhanced our bond as friends. On our last day, we treated ourselves to spa sessions, enjoying massages that helped us unwind. As we packed to leave, we felt grateful for the unforgettable memories we created together. We promised this getaway would not be our last. The laughter and beauty of L’Auberge Carmel made it a weekend we would always cherish.
