My wife and I were incredibly pleased with our 5 day stay at Casa Pestagua. We have traveled to many countries and this was by far our favorite hotel anywhere. The location is in the heart of the Historic Wall City - walkable to every shop, restaurant, and the Getsamaní neighborhood. But the location is just the start. This 2-key Michelin boutique property really delivers with incredible service. Every single staff member we engaged with was dedicated to ensuring we had everything we needed. It began before we ever arrived when our flight was late and I sent a WhatsApp message to let the hotel know we would be arriving much later than expected. Instead of an auto-reply or bot, I immediately received a personal reply from Leonardo who showed concern and interest in our flight and asked for the details so he could personally track our progress online. We communicated several times until we landed in Cartagena at 12:30am! Then there was Carlos, our waiter every morning who greeted us with a warm smile and attentive service throughout our daily breakfast. He was attentive but not hovering; engaging without being overbearing. He engaged in meaningful conversation and we felt like he was a friend before we left. The housekeeping team, led by sweet Jennifer, was also top-notch. They were so attentive to every little detail in our room, ensuring our morning service was complete while we were at breakfast and providing turndown service including a little note and treat every evening. The front desk team welcomed us with lovely conversation every time we came and went and were quick to offer additional bottles of water every time we came back from an outing. Karen and Brando and German were so nice and friendly, we hated to say goodbye. The whole team, whether we had the opportunity to engage with them or not, are clearly dedicated to incredible customer service. We can confidently recommend Casa Pestagua anyone looking for a fun trip to Cartagena.

From start to finish, this hotel exceeded our expectations. Leonardo and Carlos were particularly kind, helpful, and welcoming, and they made us feel at home throughout our stay. The food at the hotel was some of the best we had in the entire town. Even after trying several of the top-rated restaurants around, the hotel’s kitchen held its own, and it was reasonably priced on top of that. Yeily was also incredibly helpful in organizing our transport, which made everything seamless. The pool and the hotel itself were so beautiful that we genuinely didn’t want to leave. In fact, we spent an entire day just enjoying the property, that’s how great it was. Highly recommend!!
