Martinhal Cascais

That we return each year from New Zealand speaks volumes for this exquisite hideaway in Cascais. We have reached the point where we can't imagine a northern summer without being there. The location is perfect being close to Cascais and the beaches, but hidden away in a quiet area amongst the trees. The boutique hotel is elegant, the villas roomy, well serviced and equipped and the food delicious. Everything is spotlessly clean and manicured. But, the highlights are the staff who are endlessly helpful, friendly, assured and professional. They are real gems and nothing was too much trouble. My wife would also like to mention the superb laundry service with a four hour turnaround as standard! We will be back.

This was our second stay at Onyria. Absolutely love this property and the people! Wonderful breakfast with a great pool for families. The hotel is beautifully designed and landscaped. But what stands out most is the staff: caring, helpful nature, attentive. The hospitality is simply top-notch. From the front desk (lead by Luiza; and a support team of Bibiana, Catia, Sinao and others) to the restaurant team, we were comfortable...felt at home.

I stayed at the Onyria Marinha Boutique Hotel from 31st July to 3rd August while attending the Lamborghini Temerario launch and training. Unfortunately, my experience fell far below the standards expected of a five-star property. On the evening of 2nd August, my ground floor courtyard room (Room 101) was broken into while I was out for dinner. Upon returning around 11:30pm, I discovered that my belongings had been disturbed and several personal items stolen, including a Goyard wash bag, Celine sunglasses, and YSL purse. What was most concerning was the hotel’s response. Despite the seriousness of the incident, staff did not provide adequate support. I was not offered a room change, leaving me feeling unsafe and unable to rest properly on my final night. I was also not advised to contact the police and was simply told that management would speak with me the following morning, which I found dismissive given the circumstances. For a hotel positioned as a five-star luxury destination, particularly while hosting an international event such as Lamborghini’s training program, I expected significantly higher standards of security, professionalism, and guest care. Regrettably, this was not my experience, and I left feeling both unsafe and disappointed.

We spent a week in this wonderful place. The Hotel is located in a quiet upscale neighborhood of Cascais. The rooms are huge, nicely decorated in natural colors. The beds are comfy. The staff is absolutely lovely. From the reception to housekeeping, everyone gave their best to make us feel at home. Great food, we had breakfast, lunch and dinner at their restaurants. We‘re definitely coming back.

All of the staff were exceptional. They went above and beyond to make our stay wonderful and to meet our every need/demand. Also, their response times were superb whenever we required something at our villa eg coffee refills, toilet paper, help with the safe. The beds were huge, so comfortable & the villa was so private and quiet, just perfect! Breakfast was delicious. Great choice of foods and again, excellent staff. And a special mention to Afonso our guest relations manager. Everything we needed was just a WhatsApp text away! We will definitely be returning. Loved everything about the resort!
